To achieve the best results in 3D printing with PVA filament, it is important to follow optimal printing parameters that ensure precision, consistency and clean finishes. It is recommended to use an extruder temperature between 190 and 220 °C, adjusting according to the printer and complementary material to avoid clogs or warping. The bed temperature should be kept between 140 and 160 °C, ensuring good adhesion without compromising the filament's water solubility.

Although not strictly necessary, having a heated chamber can improve the stability of large or complex prints, maintaining uniform thermal control throughout the process. For the nozzle, a minimum diameter of 0.4 mm is recommended, allowing precise filament deposition without risk of blockages. Layers should be printed with a height of 0.10 mm or higher, ensuring fine details and a uniform finish.

To avoid moisture issues, the filament should be dried before printing. A drying temperature of 65 °C for 4 hours is recommended, maintaining filament consistency and preventing bubbles, strings or irregularities in the final print. Following these parameters, each piece will have clean supports, precise details and maximum ease of post-processing, especially for complex projects requiring water-soluble structures.
