Original E3D high temperature heater cartridge
Heater cartridges are an essential component of any FDM 3D printer since they are responsible for obtaining the desired temperature in the heater block, allowing the user to work with a wide variety of materials. These 65 W high-temperature heater cartridges by E3D come in a 12 V / 24 V options and can work at temperatures of up to 550 ºC for extended periods of time. This makes them ideal for those who regularly print at high temperatures, for example with advanced 3D printing materialals such as PEEK or PEI.
E3D has made sure to design for resilience at very temperatures, fast heat-up time and overall longevity of this high temperature heater cartridge. This significantly reduces down time and guarantees a smooth 3D printing experience for much longer. The cables exit the casing at a 90 º angle, with an integrated welded stainless steel strain relief, and come with high amperage rated connectors and extension leads.
Given that this heater cartridge can work at very high temperatures, E3D highly encourages the users to only work with copper heater blocks and nozzles, for example the plated copper E3D heater block and the E3D copper nozzles or the Nozzle X. The reason for this is that the elevated temperatures will soften aluminum heater blocks or hardened steel nozzles.
To find out if the Heater Cartridge is compatible with the 3D printer, check the resistance of the Heater Cartridge that the 3D printer currently has against the table below.
A deviation of the value of about 5 W is accepted, if the difference is greater, it is not advisable to use these Heating Cartridges.
