It allows to print any advanced material, supporting very high extrusion temperatures.

E3D-Online is famous in the world of 3D printing for its nozzle v6 in its different variants: brasshardened steel and stainless steel. Due to the increasing use of advanced materials, with high extrusion temperatures and alloys with carbon or glass fibers, E3D-Online has developed a nozzle capable of supporting any material on the market:  the Nozzle X.

The Nozzle X is a nozzle that internally presents the famous cone shape of the nozzles v6 of E3D-Online, designed to obtain constant flow.  The Nozzle X is optimized thanks to its manufacturing materials, tool steel for the manufacture of utensils that are constantly exposed to friction and shock. To complement the hardness of the tool steel, a nickel plating has been added to all the walls of the nozzle, which in addition to increasing the surface hardness, achieves a completely smooth finish that allows a totally smooth surface finish on the parts made by the 3D printer.

On the other hand, to combat the problems of traffic jams caused by materials containing carbon or glass fibers, the Nozzle X has a nano-coating inside.

The sum of all these properties, technically excellent, allow to print advanced materials (450°C extruder) with fiber, such as PEKK-Carbon Fiber or PEI-Carbon Fiber, without problems of wear or clogging.

After printing in 3D with filaments containing carbon fibers, metal, wood, ceramics ..., remove it and insert the “Smart Clean”, cleaning filament to prevent further jams.

After mounting the Nozzle X to the 3D printer, the height of the z axis must be adjusted (base leveling).

Be sure to install and uninstall the nozzle with the hotend at the material's printing temperature. If the filament is cold the adhesion will be very strong, needing a lot of force and being able to cause damages in the nozzle. A part can prevent the nozzle from being fully screwed, causing possible leakage.

For the cleaning of the nozzle you can use a piece of cloth or a paper towel, always while the hot nozzle is. If not enough, you can use steel wool or rock wool, but never with scotch brite pads.
