Raise3D PET Support filament is a break-away support material specially developed for use in combination with the Raise3D industrial fiber reinforced filaments PET CF and PET GF. When combined with these materials, PET Support can help create parts with large overhangs or cavities.

The support structures made with PET Support are much easier to remove than support printed with the main material, and leave a smooth and clean part once removed, helping achieve parts with a detailed surface quality and dimensional accuracy.

Thanks to the lower moisture absorption and an attractive performance-cost ratio, the PET Support filament is an excellent alternative to support materials such as BVOH or PVA. Even though the PET Support filament can be used with other CF and GF filaments by Raise3D, it is highly recommended to use it in combination with PET CF and PET GF for best results.

Raise3D PET Support filament has a high compatibility with Raise3D PET CF and PET GF industrial filaments. As for other fibre-reinforced filaments, compatibility depends on the geometry of the 3D printed part.

PET Support is sensitive to moisture and should be stored and used under dry conditions (surrounding humidity below 15 %). It is highly recommended to dry PET Support at 70-80 °C for 8-12 hours before printing in a filament dryer.

The PET Support filament should be extruded at 260-300 ºC on a bed heated to 60-80 ºC. The printing speed range for this material is 35-120 mm/s abd it is recommended to have the layer fan turned on.
