Camera module for robot arm - Elephant Robotics

The camera module by Elephant Robotics is designed to enhance the functionality of collaborative robots, including the myPalletizer 260 M5 and myPalletizer 260 Pi robotic arms. This accessory enables the robot to perform advanced tasks such as face recognition, smart screen interactions, smart express delivery, automatic vending, access control, and medical equipment operations. Additionally, it is useful for machine vision applications like scan code detection and image recognition, significantly broadening the range of creative and industrial tasks the robot can perform.

Compact and lightweight, the camera module measures 80 x 40 x 20 mm and weighs just 60 g, making it easy to carry and install without taking up much space. Its plug-and-play design allows for quick and hassle-free installation on the robot arm, enabling users to set it up in minutes. This convenience makes it ideal for environments where rapid deployment is essential, ensuring that operators can focus on productivity rather than lengthy configurations.

Equipped with a color wide-angle 720P high-definition camera, the camera module supports both MJPEG and YUV formats. The camera features a lens size of 18 x 18 x 20 mm with a standard focal length of 1.7 mm, offering a field of view of approximately 60°. It provides a resolution of up to 1280 x 720 pixels and supports various resolutions including 640 x 480 and 320 x 240, with a maximum frame rate of 25 fps at 1280 x 720. Compatible with Windows, Linux, and macOS systems, the camera module offers flexible integration into a wide array of robotic applications.
