CarbonX PC+CF from 3DXTECH should be printed using a hardened steel nozzle, with a minimum diameter of 0.4 mm, to prevent wear from the carbon fibers. An extrusion temperature between 365 °C and 390 °C and a heated bed of 140–160 °C is recommended. For large or complex parts, it is advisable to use a heated chamber at 110–120 °C to reduce warping.

The minimum layer height is 0.10 mm, although values of 0.25 mm or higher provide good strength and dimensional stability. Retraction should be kept moderate to prevent clogging due to the filament's abrasiveness. The print speed should be moderate, between 30–50 mm/s, to ensure consistent extrusion.

The filament should be dried before use; a quick dry at 65 °C for 4 hours or a deep dry at 120 °C for 4 hours is recommended. Between prints, it should be stored in an airtight container with desiccant to prevent moisture absorption. Proper ventilation is recommended during printing due to the high temperatures required by carbon fiber reinforced polycarbonate.
