The Bedrock 3D PP GF30 is a technical filament made of polypropylene reinforced with 30% glass fiber, designed for those seeking strength, durability, and dimensional stability in demanding environments. Its advanced composition combines the chemical and mechanical properties of polypropylene with the rigidity that only glass fibers can provide.

Maximum rigidity, chemical resistance, and thermal stability

Thanks to its reinforced formulation, the Bedrock 3D PP GF30 filament offers exceptional mechanical strength, high resistance to chemicals, UV radiation, and temperature variations. With an operating range from -20 ºC to 120 ºC, it is ideal for industrial, automotive, and long-term outdoor applications.

3D printing without warping or moisture: professional quality in every layer

Bedrock 3D’s PP GF30 significantly improves layer adhesion, reduces the warping effect, and decreases moisture absorption. This results in parts with a smooth surface, consistent finishes, and outstanding dimensional accuracy, even on standard FDM printers.

Industrial applications of Bedrock 3D PP GF30

The Bedrock 3D PP GF30 filament is designed to produce parts that must withstand high mechanical loads, prolonged exposure, and harsh conditions. Its main applications include:

  • Functional components for automotive and transportation
  • Tools, jigs, and production fixtures
  • Lightweight and durable structural parts
  • Functional prototypes and control elements

Key advantages of the Bedrock 3D PP GF30 filament

  • 30% glass fiber reinforcement for maximum rigidity and strength

The Bedrock 3D PP GF30 is a technical filament made of 30% glass-fibre-reinforced polypropylene, designed to deliver mechanical strength, extreme durability and dimensional precision in industrial 3D prints. This material combines the lightness of polypropylene with the structural rigidity of glass fibres, creating a filament capable of withstanding demanding environments and prolonged use without degrading.

Use wear-resistant nozzles for glass-fibre filaments

Due to its glass-fibre content, the Bedrock 3D PP GF30 causes a high level of wear on standard nozzles. To maintain print quality and avoid premature failure, it is recommended to use high-performance nozzles such as the hardened steel E3D nozzle or the Olsson Ruby Nozzle. These options offer superior wear resistance and guarantee a precise and stable 3D print, even with abrasive materials.

For best results, it is recommended to use nozzle diameters equal to or greater than 0.4 mm, allowing a consistent material flow and uniform layer deposition.

Perfect adhesion with SmartStick and suitable beds

The Bedrock 3D PP GF30 retains the typical polypropylene characteristic of low bed adhesion. To counteract this and ensure firm adhesion during printing, it is recommended to use the adhesive SmartStick. This product has been specifically developed to improve compatibility with PP filaments, ensuring effective anchoring without damaging the part when removed.

In addition to adhesive, you can also use a micro-perforated bed or polypropylene (PP) tape to optimize adhesion and minimize warping, resulting in a uniform industrial-quality finish.

Optimal storage of the Bedrock 3D PP GF30 filament

Once the 3D print is completed, it is essential to store the spool correctly to preserve its properties. It is recommended to keep it in its original bag and box, in a dry, dust-free environment with a stable temperature. Although this filament exhibits low moisture absorption, proper storage extends its useful life and ensures consistent results with each print.

Recommended printing configurations

  • Nozzle temperature: 240 – 260 °C
  • Bed temperature: 70 – 90 °C
  • Bed material: PP tape, SmartStick adhesive or micro-perforated bed
  • Nozzle diameter: ≥ 0.6 mm (preferably hardened steel or ruby)
  • Print speed: 30 – 80 mm/s
