The PLA Silk Rainbow is a premium 3D printing filament from Spectrum's portfolio. This material is known for its stunning color transitions and satin-like finish. This unique appearance results from specialized coloring concentrates that create a silky surface texture. Advanced manufacturing processes ensure consistent color variation along the filament's entire length, producing smooth transitions during printing and giving printed objects a distinctive, eye-catching look.

In addition to its aesthetic appeal, Spectrum PLA Silk Rainbow offers precise and stable printing with reduced layer visibility on side surfaces. It maintains the mechanical properties of standard PLA, such as high strength and rigidity, while eliminating shrinkage after cooling. Its compatibility with most popular FDM 3D printers ensures seamless integration into existing setups, enhancing both functionality and appearance in printed projects.

Once opened, the Spectrum filaments must be stored properly to prevent moisture absorption from the air. Filament is best stored in a hermetically sealed bag with desiccant, in a vacuum-sealed container or in a smart filament container. If the filament absorbs too much moisture, it should be dried in a filament dryer in accordance with the settings recommended for the material in question.

In order to avoid extrusion problems and obtain high quality parts with the Spectrum filaments, it is highly recommended to use the printing parameters (extrusion temperature, bed temperature, printing speed, fan settings) provided in each material's respective technical datasheet. It is also crucial to follow any other recommendations such as the use of an abrasion-resistant nozzle. The datasheets can be found in the Attachments section.

It is strongly recommended to use standard safety equipment during printing and post-processing of parts 3D printed with Spectrum filaments: safety goggles, gloves, breathing apparatus and protective clothing as required.
