The PETG CF filament from The Filament line combines reliability with exceptional visual appeal. Its composition blends durable PETG with 3% high-quality carbon fiber, offering outstanding mechanical strength and flexibility. The optimized formulation minimizes nozzle clogging and reduces stringing, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free printing experience. This makes PETG CF an excellent choice for both professionals and beginners seeking performance without printing challenges. Characterized by its sleek, carbon-like finish, PETG CF is ideal for producing functional parts that require both strength and aesthetics. Its superior impact resistance and mechanical durability make it suitable for demanding applications such as drone components, racing models, and industrial parts

Additionally, it is fully compatible with the AMS system from Bambu Lab, adding to its versatility in advanced 3D printing projects. Produced entirely in Europe, The Filament’s PETG CF filament helps reduce transport-related emissions while ensuring consistent, high-quality manufacturing. The filament is wound onto a spool made from certified, recycled 2nd life plastic, making it an eco-friendly and practical choice for users who prioritize both robust production standards and ease of use. This makes PETG CF not only a reliable material for tough projects but also an environmentally responsible option for sustainable 3D printing.

Furthermore, this PLA is also offered in a sustainable Refill format. This PETG CF filament from The Filament is easy to work with, featuring a recommended printing temperature range of 230-255 ºC and a heated print bed requirement of 60-70 ºC. Printing speeds between 40-150 mm/s ensure flexibility in project execution. A heated build chamber is not required, making it suitable for a variety of 3D printing setups. More information on the PETG filament can be found in the Usage Tips section and in the Attachments section.

Like any 3D printing filament, the The Filament filaments should be stored properly in order to avoid their deterioration and, in consequence, extrusion problems and inferior print quality. The spool can be stored in an airtight plastic bag, in a resealable bag with a desiccant capsule, or in a smart filament container. If the filament has absorbed too much moisture, it must be dried before printing in a filament dryer at 40-50 ºC for about 6 hours.

In order to ensure smooth printing and optimal part quality, the filaments from the The Filament line should be printed in accordance with the settings recommended by the manufacturer in the filaments' technical datasheets.

Adhesion

The filaments from the The Filament line are characterized by ease of printing and great adhesion. Nevertheless, if increased adhesion is needed to prevent warping, adhesion products such as Magigoo, 3DLac or Dimafix are recommended.

Abrasive filament

The PLA CF and PETG CF filaments contain abrasive carbon fibers. This is why it is best to print these materials with a hardened nozzle with a diameter of minimum 0.4 mm to avoid clogging and excessive nozzle wear, and to obtain high quality parts.

Refill format

The filaments that come in Refill format are wound onto an eco-friendly cardboard core which makes them compatible with BambuLab reusable spools. Apart from that, the Refill format is compatible with the Spectrum Refill spools, as well as other adjustable spool holders.
