In the field of resin 3D printing, precision, reliability, and workflow continuity make the difference between experimental results and professional productions. The AFU automatic resin feeding system, created by Creality, transforms the printing experience with the HALOT-X1 by automating resin supply and recycling, reducing manual intervention, and ensuring consistent quality in every print, even in highly complex projects.

Full automation of the resin feeding process

The system optimizes productivity by detecting low resin levels and automatically supplying the required material to prevent interruptions or shortages. Once printing is complete, the excess resin is automatically recycled, reducing waste and simplifying tank maintenance. This continuous flow enables more efficient work without constant supervision, improving stability and overall printer performance.

RFID recognition and smart compatibility

Thanks to its RFID recognition technology, the system automatically identifies the type of resin used and intelligently adjusts the printing parameters. This integration ensures full compatibility with the HALOT-X1, eliminates configuration errors, and streamlines the preparation of each job, delivering a smooth and professional printing experience.

Temperature control and real-time monitoring

The integrated heating module keeps the resin at 36 °C, maintaining its ideal viscosity and ensuring a uniform flow throughout the printing process. In addition, the control screen displays the remaining resin volume in real time, making it easier to plan refills and avoid unexpected stops. This precise temperature and volume control delivers consistent, detailed, and uninterrupted results.

Compact design and effortless connectivity

The system’s compact, modern, and functional design fits perfectly with the HALOT-X1 environment, taking up minimal space and offering a plug-and-play installation with no complications. Direct management from the printer’s touchscreen simplifies operation, ensuring seamless integration into any professional workflow.

Efficiency, quality, and precision for professional 3D printing

This solution is designed to maximize the efficiency of resin 3D printers, reduce material consumption, and enhance the level of detail in every printed piece. Ideal for design studios, laboratories, workshops, or prototyping environments seeking performance, reliability, and professional quality, this system stands out as an essential complement for advanced 3D printing.

Installation and Connection

  • Ensure the unit is mounted according to the official HALOT-X1 guide.
  • Check that the feed hose/tube is properly connected, without folds or tight bends that could limit flow.

Resin Use and Compatibility

  • Use resin bottles compatible with the system, ideally with an RFID label if the model supports it. The RFID function allows automatic loading of resin parameters.
  • Before starting a large project, check that the resin level is sufficient: the unit allows monitoring of leftovers and level.

Resin Temperature Control

  • The integrated heater brings the resin to approximately 30-45 °C to improve viscosity. This helps in cold environments or when the resin is thicker.
  • If you are in a very cold environment, make sure the system has reached temperature before starting a critical print.

Flow and Feeding During Printing

  • The unit should be active during the printing process to feed and, depending on the model, even collect excess resin.
  • It is useful to leave a resin margin to prevent the print from stopping halfway due to lack of material.

Maintenance and Cleaning

  • Periodically clean the feed hose/tube to avoid blockages or leftover resin residues.
  • Check the detection module and its wiring to ensure the level and weight sensors work correctly.
  • If changing resin type, thoroughly clean the system to avoid mixing resins that could cause curing issues or bubbles.

Before Printing

  • Ensure the resin is properly fluid, without large bubbles or solids.
  • Check that the resin level is adequate for the duration of your print.
  • Make sure the unit system is in “automatic feeding” mode and not “manual” (if configuration allows).
  • If it’s the first time or after a long period of inactivity, perform a short test to check for leaks, stable feeding, and proper sensor operation.

Precautions

  • Do not use the unit without checking bottle/resin compatibility: if the system does not recognize the RFID bottle, you may need to set parameters manually or risk incompatibility.
  • If the environment is very cold or poorly ventilated, heating may take longer: ensure the resin is at optimal temperature before printing.
  • Essential cleaning: resin is sensitive, and dust or dry residues can cause failures.
  • During initial prints, monitor that the system does not show feeding errors or unexpected low resin level alerts.
