Bedrock 3D PA6 GF30 is a high-performance technical filament for FDM/FFF 3D printers, made from PA6 (Polyamide 6) reinforced with 30% glass fiber. Designed for demanding industrial environments, it offers an exceptional combination of stiffness, durability, and dimensional accuracy—ideal for producing functional parts and professional prototypes.

High mechanical performance and dimensional stability

Thanks to its glass fiber formulation, Bedrock 3D PA6 GF30 delivers outstanding mechanical strength and rigidity. Printed parts maintain their shape even under heavy loads, with excellent layer adhesion and a significant reduction in warping. This ensures consistent, precise, and long-lasting results in demanding industrial applications.

Chemical, UV, and wear resistance

This technical filament stands out for its resistance to chemicals, UV radiation, and friction. Its reinforced structure makes it an optimal choice for tooling, fixtures, automotive components, electronic parts, and sports equipment. It maintains performance even after prolonged use or in harsh environments, ensuring a long lifespan for printed parts.

Industrial and professional applications

Its combination of rigidity, precision, and thermal stability makes Bedrock 3D PA6 GF30 ideal for manufacturing functional and structural components such as:

  • Prototypes and high-strength industrial tooling
  • Housings and mounts for power tools
  • Automotive and transportation components
  • Electronic parts and control systems
  • Sports and leisure equipment elements

Key technical advantages

  • Very high stiffness and mechanical strength
  • Excellent layer adhesion
  • Low deformation and minimal shrinkage
  • Chemical and UV resistance
  • Compatibility with soluble support materials (BVOH)

Conclusion

Bedrock 3D PA6 GF30 redefines the standard for glass fiber reinforced filaments. Its balance of mechanical performance, print precision, and durability makes it the ideal filament for engineering, automotive, prototyping, and industrial production. For those seeking a robust, reliable PA6 GF30 filament ready for professional applications, BEDROCK 3D is the ultimate choice.

Recommended Print Settings

  • Nozzle temperature: 240 – 280 °C
  • Bed temperature: 70 – 110 °C (closed or passively heated chamber)
  • Recommended nozzle diameter: ≥ 0.6 mm
  • Print speed: 30 – 150 mm/s*
  • Optimal layer height: 0.20 – 0.24 mm

*To achieve higher speeds, it may be necessary to increase the nozzle temperature. The best results are obtained with 0.6 mm nozzles and a stable temperature in a closed chamber.

Recommended nozzles for glass fiber printing

The glass fiber in Bedrock 3D PA6 GF30 is highly abrasive. To prevent premature wear and ensure maximum print quality, it is recommended to use hardened nozzles such as:

These options offer extreme wear resistance, maintaining excellent surface quality on industrial parts reinforced with glass fiber.

Bed Adhesion

To ensure a strong first-layer adhesion and prevent warping, the use of specialized adhesives for nylon is recommended, such as:

You can also use a micro-perforated bed, a PEI sheet or Kapton Tape for even more stable adhesion.

Filament Storage and Maintenance

Bedrock 3D PA6 GF30 is hygroscopic, so it should be stored in a dry, dust-free environment once printing is complete. It is recommended to keep it in its original packaging with a desiccant capsule to maintain optimal performance. If the filament absorbs moisture, dry it at 100 °C for at least 5 hours using a PrintDry filament dryer.
