Fiberon PA612-ESD fiber-reinforced filament

The PA612-ESD filament from Fiberon is a high-performance technical filament designed to meet the demands of the electronics and manufacturing industries. Formulated with carbon nanotubes and 10% carbon fiber, this PA612 nylon compound offers a unique combination of mechanical strength, thermal stability, and electrostatic discharge (ESD) dissipation. Ideal for manufacturing tools, functional parts, electronic components, and industrial jigs that require maximum durability and protection against electrostatic discharges.

Thanks to its surface resistivity between 10⁴ and 10⁷ Ω/sq, Fiberon PA612-ESD is suitable for printing ESD-safe enclosures, tools for clean rooms or controlled environments, PCB assembly parts, and applications sensitive to static electricity. Additionally, its heat deflection temperature of up to 157 °C ensures parts remain stable even in high-temperature environments.

With excellent dimensional stability, low warping, printing without an enclosed chamber, and compatibility with speeds up to 300 mm/s, this technical filament is perfectly suited for agile manufacturing processes. It is designed to be used with a metal hotend and hardened nozzles, ensuring consistent print flow and extended extruder lifespan.

Fiberon PA612-ESD is supplied on spools of 1.75 mm diameter and is available in 500 g and 3 kg formats. This filament is compatible with AMS systems and ready for production environments requiring quality, repeatability, and ESD safety.

For best results with PA612-ESD filament, the following recommendations should be followed:

  1. Printing temperature: Set the extruder temperature between 280°C and 300°C to ensure proper melting and adhesion of the material.
  2. Bed temperature: Set the heated bed between 40°C and 50°C to improve first-layer adhesion and prevent warping.
  3. Metal hotend: Use a fully metal hotend that can withstand temperatures above 280°C to ensure optimal filament performance.
  4. Recommended nozzle: For greater durability, it is recommended to use a hardened nozzle, as brass nozzles have a limited lifespan of approximately 9 hours when printing with PA612-ESD.
  5. Filament drying: Due to its hygroscopic nature, the filament should be kept dry. It is advisable to use a filament dryer or store it in a dry place with silica gel or a desiccant capsule.
  6. Post-print annealing: The annealing process improves heat resistance and dimensional stability. It is recommended to apply this thermal treatment after printing for best results.
