These Lay PU Shore 75A pellets in powder form are a specialized FGF 3D printing material designed as part of the Lay Filaments brand for direct extrusion or filament production. Made from pure polyurethane, this material yields grey, flexible, and durable rubber-like parts with a Shore hardness of 75A—similar to a shoe sole or a leather belt in terms of softness and resilience. Colorants can be added directly to the pellets to achieve customized colors for 3D printed parts or fabricated filament.

These PU Shore 75A pellets have a density of 0.92 g/cm³, a tensile modulus of 15.5 N/mm², and a tensile elongation at break of 105%, ensuring strong and flexible printed parts. The material has a melting point of 160 ºC and prints easily within a processing range of 180-230 ºC, adjustable depending on the printing speed.

A unique feature of this material is its extremely fine particle size which gives the pellets a powder-like appearance. However, these pellets are intended exclusively for FGF 3D printing and are not suitable for SLS 3D printing equipment, as using them in SLS machines could cause damage.

Recommended equipment for directly extruding the PU Shore 75A pellets includes pellet extruders or compatible FGF-capable 3D printers. Filament production is also possible with extruders such as the Felfil EVO.

It is very important to store PU Shore 75A pellets in an airtight bag to prevent them from absorbing moisture from the environment before use. If the pellets have moisture in them, the resulting parts or filament may contain small imperfections. Once the filament has been manufactured using PU Shore 75A pellets, it is also recommended to store the filament properly.
