The D1000 printer offers a build volume of 1000 x 1000 x 1000 mm in single extrusion mode and 940 x 1000 x 1000 mm in dual extrusion mode. The printer is compatible with 1.75 mm filament and comes with a default 1.0 mm nozzle, but also supports diameters ranging between 0.4 and 1.5 mm. With an XY positioning resolution of 11 µm and a Z positioning resolution of 2.5 µm, and a maximum layer height of 0.5 mm, the D1000 3D printer guaranteees high resolution prints and highest detail quality.

Extrusion and deposition

The CreatBot D1000 3D printer features an advanced smart auto-rising dual-extruder system that supports a hotend temperature of up to 420 ºC. This high-temperature capability allows for versatile printing with a wide range of thermoplastic materials, including PLA, water-soluble PVA for prototypes, as well as ABS, PC, Nylon, and carbon fiber for more demanding applications. The dual-hotend setup is designed for quick replacement and ease of maintenance, making it both efficient and cost-effective for users. This system enhances the printer's ability to produce high-quality, large-scale prints and customized complex parts with impressive speed and precision.

The CreatBot D1000 3D printer features a build plate constructed from aviation aluminum, providing both durability and reliability for various printing tasks. The printing bed is equipped with an automatic leveling system that utilizes a high-precision servo probe to measure and record platform flatness at 100 points during the initial setup. This data is then used for intelligent compensation of the Z-axis height throughout the printing process, ensuring fully automated and precise leveling. This advanced leveling mechanism contributes to consistent print quality and reduces the need for manual adjustments, enhancing the overall user experience.

The motion system

For its motion system, the D1000 employs aluminum casting for its components, ensuring robustness and durability. The printer's linear rail structure is designed to be thick and resistant to deformation, maintaining precision over extended periods. It is equipped with high-quality stepper motors featuring a 1.8° step angle and 1/16 micro-stepping, which deliver fast, inertia-free responses and eliminate delays. The closed-loop control system further ensures reliability, contributing to consistently high print quality even at the printer's maximum speeds of 120 mm/s.

The build chamber

The CreatBot D1000 3D printer is designed with a 60 ºC hot chamber that ensures optimal print quality when working with high-performance materials. The fully enclosed chamber effectively blocks external interference, which helps maintain a constant temperature and minimizes the risk of deformation in printed models, especially very large parts.

Additionally, the frame of the printer is engineered to reduce noise, contributing to a quieter working environment. To enhance compatibility with advanced materials, the D1000 includes an integrated filament dry cabinet capable of operating at temperatures of either 45 ºC or 65 ºC, designed to dry two 5 kg spools of filaments such as PLA, PA, PC, and ABS. This feature is particularly useful for managing hygroscopic materials that require careful handling.

Moreover, the build chamber of the D1000 is equipped with a HEPA air filtration system, which effectively absorbs impurities and gases emitted by materials like ABS, PA, or PC. This filtration system contributes to a safer printing environment by maintaining clean air quality, making the D1000 suitable for use in office spaces, educational settings, or even households. This comprehensive approach to chamber management and air quality ensures that the D1000 can deliver reliable and high-quality prints while safeguarding users and their surroundings.

Connectivity and smart features

The CreatBot D1000 3D printer boasts a range of connectivity and smart features designed to enhance user experience and print quality. In the event of a sudden power outage, the printer memorizes the current position, saves print data, lowers the platform, and retracts the filament, allowing it to seamlessly resume printing from the last stopped point once power is restored.

The printer also prevents invalid prints by stopping and issuing a warning when the filament runs out. Remote control of the printing process is facilitated through camera control technology and an associated app, enabling users to adjust speed, pause, temperature, and more, ensuring optimal printing quality and efficiency. Additionally, the printer features an automatic shutdown function, turning off the power once printing is complete to conserve energy.
