LDPE (low-density polyethylene) possesses qualities such as being non-toxic, lightweight, resistant to cold, flexible, easily moldable, non-adhesive, and sturdy, rendering it highly suitable for various precision shaping purposes such as soap moulds, plaster moulds, concrete moulds, and even resin moulds. These LDPE sheets excel in those applications, capable of replicating intricate object details akin to silicone. What's more, LDPE stands out as the sole material that does not adhere to resin (epoxy) items.

LDPE presents a susceptibility to breakage under forming pressures exceeding 60 KPA. This means the user should adequately adjust the suction power of the Formart machines and even use the microporous forming bed add-ons for optimal performance. Notably, pre-heating of the LDPE sheets is deemed unnecessary, while the best forming temperature ranging between 115-120 °C. Furthermore, LDPE exhibits versatility across a wide temperature span of -40 to 90°C.
