Addnorth is a Swedish start-up founded in 2016 by four engineers with a long history in the plastics industry. The company was born as a response to the lack of filament producers in the Nordic countries and the difficulty in finding quality technical 3D printing materials in the region.

Addnorth maintains close ties with Chalmers University, the alma mater of its founders. Thanks to this, and to the support of the governmental innovation agencies Vinnova and Almi, they are one of the leading filament manufacturers, with strong investment and R&D&I. Its main lines include the development of PLA produced from cellulose waste derived from the Swedish timber industry as a sustainable alternative to the use of corn starch.
