Bambu Lab PLA Basic is an easy-to-use and highly versatile filament, but to always achieve the best performance, it is recommended to follow certain printing and storage guidelines. With simple care, you ensure a more uniform surface, stronger parts, and longer material durability.

1. Drying before use

To achieve the best print quality and a uniform finish, it is important to dry the filament before use. - In a hot air oven: 50 °C for 8 hours. - In AMS 2 Pro or AMS HT: 55 °C for 8 hours. - On the heated bed of a X1 printer: 60 °C – 70 °C for 12 hours. After use, store the filament in a dry environment to preserve its properties.

2. Use of reusable spool

The refill format of PLA Basic requires the use of the Bambu Lab reusable spool. This system reduces plastic waste and facilitates spool changes. For more details on proper installation, consult the official Bambu Lab guide.

3. Proper storage

Keeping the filament in sealed bags with desiccants helps prevent moisture absorption and prolongs material life, always ensuring stable extrusion.

4. Recommended print settings

Bambu Lab PLA Basic performs optimally with an extrusion temperature of 190 °C – 220 °C and a heated bed of 25 °C – 60 °C. These conditions ensure good adhesion, mechanical strength, and a uniform surface finish.

5. Best printing practices

For flawless results, use nozzles from 0.2 mm to 0.6 mm depending on the desired detail. - Print in stable environments to avoid temperature variations. - Keep layer cooling active for cleaner surfaces and precise details.
