Raise 3D offers, as official spare parts, the printing bases for its printers. They are available in four versions:

  • A high rigidity aluminium base compatible with Raise Pro2 and Pro3 serie printers. This base is specially designed to resist without deformation the high stresses caused by the contraction of some materials during cooling. This base does not include the compatible Buildtak sheet, which must be purchased separately.
  • A flexible base compatible with the Raise E2 and E2CF 3D printer. This flexible base is designed to facilitate effortless part removal. It does not include the compatible Buildtak sheet, which must be purchased separately.
  • A flexible base with protector, exclusively compatible with the Raise Pro3 and Pro3 Plus 3D printers.
  • A flexible base with handle and Builtak included, exclusively compatible with the Raise Pro3 and Pro3 Plus 3D printers.

The bases of the Raise 3D printers stand out for their easy extraction system. In the case of the E2 printer and the Pro3 series we find some flexible bases that, thanks to this system, improve the adherence of the material used and facilitate the extraction of the 3D printed parts without the need to use tools that can damage the printing surface. Once the part is removed from the build platform, the flexible surface returns to its original shape.

In addition, the Pro3 series is also compatible with a rigid build platform as well as a high-temperature borosilicate glass build platform. In this way, the user can purchase and use the printing base that best suits the material used and the model to be printed.

The high rigidity base of the Pro2 series, has a magnetic adhesion sheet from the famous manufacturer BuildTak. This sheet is made with aerospace-grade materials to offer uniform heat distribution, avoid warping and high useful life, not to mention the enormous adhesion power it shows with almost all filaments.

The original Buildtak sheets are available as spare parts in three versions, one compatible with the rigid base of the 3D printers Raise Pro2 and Raise Pro2 Plus , another exclusively compatible with the flexible base of the 3D printer Raise Pro3 and Raise Pro3 Plus and another compatible with the flexible base of the 3D printer Raise E2.

BuildTak is a strong thin plastic film that adheres to the print bed in FDM / FFM 3D printers. It provides a perfect surface and replaces traditional blue tape or Kapton tape. BuildTak is made from high quality refractory raw materials and enables clean and easy removal of the built element.

The constructed element adapts perfectly to the BuildTak surface reducing distortions to a minimum.

BuildTak offers the following advantages:

  • Works great with PLA, ABS, wood, PET, flexible filament...
  • No pre-treatment is required.
  • Easy installation and removal without adhesive residue.
  • BuildTak is very durable if cared for properly.
  • Optimal connection between the object and the printing surface.
  • This heat resistant composition is patent pending and has been developed to withstand typical hot print panel temperatures (110 to 125°C).

It is recommended to replace the Buildtak adhesion sheet with some frequency, especially if it is damaged, to ensure optimal adhesion of the material and an optimal finish of the parts printed in 3D.
