The AESUB Orange scanning spray, developed and approved by scanning experts, is part of the family of high end sprays for the 3D scanning of problematic objects and features, namely transparent, reflective, specular or indented surfaces, with great detail and accuracy.

The AESUB scanning sprays were born out of the need for scanning sprays that would not contaminate the surroundings, the scanning equipment and the scanned part with pigment, leaving it no longer usable for its original purpose. AESUB found a solution to that by coming up with scanning sprays that disappear on their own after a certain period of time and leave the workspace clean and the scanned part in pristine condition. Furthermore, the AESUB Orange spray does not contain titanium dioxide, classified by the European Chemicals Agency as a carcinogen when inhaled.

Once applied to the transparent or reflective scanned surface, the Orange scanning spray creates a thin, homogeneous and no-slip coating which helps the scanning equipment to detect the object and recreate it faithfully. When scanned on their own, transparent or reflective surfaces may not be detected by the scanner at all.

The AESUB Orange scanning spray is scannable for 4-8 hours and disappears after 12-30 hours, depending on the thickness of the spray coat, the ambient temperature, the air flow, as well as the surface and material of the scanned object. There is no need for cleaning the spray as it will sublimate on its own. What’s more, the Orange scanning spray does not contain pigments, which eliminates the risk of accidentally contaminating the surrounding surfaces while applying the spray (perfect for problematic in sensitive spaces such as laboratories or production lines). In order to further improve the scanning results, especially with big objects, markers can be applied on top of the spray coat with no adhesion problems.

The AESUB Orange scanning spray is compatible with any scanning equipment on the market, be it a desktop 3D scanner with a rotating platform or tripod or a handheld 3D scanner. The scanning process with the AESUB Orange scanning spray is shorter and cleaner, and the possible applications are limitless. It can be used in various industries (automotive, engineering, aerospace, energy), for the purposes of reverse engineering, as well as in medicine (tool design, imaging), art or architecture (digital archiving), or the consumer goods industry (quality control) in combination with 3D printing technologies.

General information

Manufacturer AESUB
Format 400 ml
Caution and safety warnings H222, H229

Other

HS Code 3809.9

AESUB Orange has been optimized for a coating thickness of 2-6 μm and one 400 ml can of the EASUB Orange scanning spray can cover an area of approximately 4-6 m2. It should be applied from a distance of about 15-20 cm at 21°C (room temperature).

If drops form on the sprayed surface or the applied spray appears wet for longer than a few seconds, it means the spraying distance or spraying speed should be increased.

The AESUB Orange scanning spray should be stored in a dry place at about 18-21 ºC, avoiding direct sunlight. In order to ensure user safety, proper room ventilation and breathing equipment should be used. The AESUB Orange scanning spray should never be applied on hot or glowing objects, or come in contact with food. More technical and safety information can be found in the Downloads section.
