The RaptorX is designed for versatility, offering users a lightweight, portable, and durable solution that excels in various sectors. Its fast scanning capabilities further enhance its appeal, making it accessible for professionals across industries looking for efficient and high-quality 3D scanning tools. The CR-Scan RaptorX scanner has received significant technological improvements compared to its predecessor, the CR-Scan Raptor scanner.

Hybrid technology

The CR-Scan RaptorX 3D scanner is equipped with a 2.3 million-pixel 3D imaging camera that ensures high-resolution scanning. Its low distortion lens, with a distortion rate of less than 5‰, guarantees sharp and accurate data capture. The scanner features a large depth of field lens (φ20mm) and a 9-element glass lens, providing enhanced optical performance. A metal lens barrel and holder contribute to its durability and stability. Additionally, the advanced temperature compensation algorithm in the RaptorX optimizes temperature stability, ensuring consistent accuracy even in varying environmental conditions.

The RaptorX 3D scanner integrates two advanced scanning technologies: blue laser and near-infrared (NIR). The blue laser system is particularly noteworthy for its use of 34 cross laser lines and 7 parallel laser lines, combining to deliver exceptional scanning results. The 34 cross laser lines enable the scanner to process up to 1,020,000 points per second, making it ideal for efficient, reliable, and accurate scanning of medium to large objects, such as vehicles (min. 5 x 5 x 5 mm, max. 4 x 4 x 4 m).

This is further enhanced by an advanced laser line encoding and decoding algorithm designed to manage denser multi-beam lasers. The 7 parallel laser lines are optimized for partial HD scanning, capturing finer details and improving overall scanning efficiency. Each parallel laser line is as fine as 0.1mm, ensuring sharper edges and more intricate details. With a 2.3-megapixel 3D imaging camera, the RaptorX restores fine details with impressive accuracy, achieving volumetric accuracy of 0.02 mm + 0.06 mm/m. Additionally, the scanner's laser line technology supports scan frame rates of up to 60 fps, making it highly effective for fast, high-quality scans.

In addition to its blue laser technology, the RaptorX 3D scanner also features complementary NIR (near-infrared) structured light scanning technology, capable of achieving frame rates of up to 30 fps. This versatile system supports object sizes ranging from 150 x 150 x 150 mm to 2 x 2 x 2 m, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. The NIR technology excels in markerless scanning, ensuring accurate and reliable results without the need for physical markers.

The NIR light source helps achieve great results in marker-free scanning or with faces and bodies

Integrated with One-Shot 3D imaging technology, the RaptorX maintains natural stabilization, minimizing the risk of tracking loss, while its fast backtracking speed allows for smoother handheld scanning. Furthermore, the NIR component enhances the scanner's face and body mapping algorithm, enabling users to capture highly detailed scans of features such as hair. With the ability to perform a full-body scan in just 2 minutes, the RaptorX offers both speed and precision for complex 3D scanning tasks.

Smart design

The RaptorX 3D scanner is designed with portability and ease of use in mind, weighing only 405 grams, while the scanning/charging base, the Scan Bridge, weighs 444 grams. Its handle base is detachable, and the head is equipped with a removable lanyard and an anti-slip sleeve for secure handling. For added convenience, the scanner comes with a safety case for transport. The intuitive design features buttons with ring lights for status indication, and a magnetic holder allows for easy attachment of a phone, enhancing the user experience.

The intelligent and ergonomic design allows for great flexibility in the scanning workflow

Equipped with a high-capacity 35400mWh battery, the RaptorX offers up to 4 hours of uninterrupted scanning. It charges quickly, reaching 80% in just 1.5 hours, making it ideal for outdoor scanning sessions. The battery attaches magnetically for quick setup and includes a light indicator for easy status monitoring. Additionally, the battery is safe for air travel, and the scanner’s wireless capabilities eliminate the need for cumbersome cables, providing true operational freedom.

The scanning process

The RaptorX 3D scanner utilizes Wi-Fi 6 AX6000 technology for fast and efficient data transmission, offering a high transmission rate of 4.7 Gbps and low latency of just 10 ms. With its advanced lossless data compression algorithm, the scanner ensures that scans are transferred quickly and effortlessly from the scanner to the computer, enhancing workflow and productivity during 3D scanning tasks.
