Raise3D PPA support filament is a support material specially developed for use in combination with Raise3D PPA (polyphthalamide) based filaments, such as PPA CF. This type of filament has been developed specifically for optimal results with the E2CF 3D printer, but is also compatible with other FDM 3D printers.

Raise3D's PPA support filament creates a stable support structure during the 3D printing process that is able to provide adequate adhesion to both the printing surface and the build material, counteracting the tendency to warp. This results in significant improvements in the surface quality of the overhangs and cavities of printed objects.

The PPA support filament is virtually odourless and is insoluble in water. To remove the support areas after the printing process is complete, the user can easily separate the supports from the workpieces by hand, with virtually no additional tools required.

PPA Support is less expensive than other soluble support materials and is compatible with both PPA CF and PPA GF filament, making it an ideal choice for 3D printing complex parts on Raise3D equipment.

After printing with PPA-based filaments, it is recommended to anneal the model to improve the mechanical properties and dimensional accuracy of the part. When using Raise3D PPA support material, it is not necessary to remove the supports to anneal the parts.

Raise3D's PPA support filament has a high compatibility with PPA filaments, including those reinforced with carbon or glass fibre. As for other PA and CF filaments, compatibility depends on the geometry of the 3D printed part.
