Sinterit is a Polish manufacturer recognised as a pioneer in the development of affordable SLS 3D printing solutions. In addition to a complete range of equipment, both compact and industrial, it also has the widest range of optimised materials in its segment.

In addition to excellent materials for general applications such as PA12 SmoothPA11 Onyx or Flexa Grey TPU, Sinterit has developed many materials for special applications such as polypropylene or Flexa Soft and Flexa Bright TPUs.

PA11 ESD is a special application material. It is a PA11 powder specially additivated to provide electrostatic discharge functionality.

In terms of mechanical behaviour, it has slightly lower properties than the excellent PA11 Onyx on which it is based. Parts printed on PA11 ESD have a tensile modulus of 1.85 GPa and flexural modulus of 1.24 GPa, as well as an impact strength (non-indented Charpy) of 59 kJ/m2, making it suitable for the most demanding applications.

In addition to its good mechanical properties, it has volumetric and surface strength values compatible with the ability to provide electrostatic discharge. It has a volumetric specific resistance of 100 kΩ and a surface specific resistance of only 53 kΩ.

The combination of all this, together with its good printing quality and high dimensional stability, makes it a perfect material for the development of functional housings for electronic equipment.

It is also suitable for the manufacture of tools, jigs and fixtures for the production, assembly and testing of electronic components, as well as for the production of components for use in explosive atmospheres.

PA11 ESD is a valid material to cover a wide range of applications requiring ESD functionality, providing high added value to sectors such as automotive, consumer electronics or scientific-technical instrumentation.

Like PA11 Onyx, PA11 ESD requires the use of nitrogen during printing. Likewise, a Sinterit Studio Advanced Software licence is required to use this material.

PA11 ESD is sensitive to moisture, so it must be stored properly in a dry environment. In the event of moisture pick-up, it can be dried at 100°C for 6h. Depending on the degree of humidity or the length of time stored in poor conditions, the material may not recover its original properties.

After each use, the material needs to be refreshed by 60 %.
