The Nanovia smoothing coating (NV-S22MC) is a mono component acrylic solution for smoothing the surface of all types of parts.

This solution is compatible with all types of materials (PLA, ABS, wood and metal) and 3D printing technologies (FDM, SLA and SLS).

The application of this smoothing coating stabilizes the surface layer of the piece on which it is applied, obtaining a uniform and resistant result ideal for outdoor applications. In addition, it's a product widely used by users who recreate figures, models or make final products that need to have a perfect appearance. Depending on the type of finish desired, there is the possibility of matt or shine smoothing.

The formulation is designed to have good adhesion to copper, brass and thermoplastics. Among the latter are the PLA and the ABS, one of the most commonly used materials in 3D FDM printing. But its possible application does not end here, it can also be used on many other materials (ASA, special PLA, special ABS, advanced materials and many more).

To make the application as easy as possible, Nanovia has developed the NV-S22MC in aerosol format. Simply before applying this product should be shaken and is ready to be used. Thin passes must be applied 20cm from the piece (one span) to cover the entire surface. To ensure total smoothing, 3-4 coats should be applied with a waiting time of 30 minutes between them. Once the application of this aerosol is finished it's necessary to wait 24 hours to reach the total drying.

The Nanovia smoothing coating is only for a smooth finish (matte or shine) on pieces with slight imperfections. If you need to paste, repair or post-process a part in depth, it is recommended to use XTC-3D.

Before applying this aerosol it must be checked that the piece to be treated is clean and free of fats and oils. Once clean it's recommended that users equip themselves with gloves, safety glasses and apply the spray in a ventilated area to avoid inhaling the product. The application of the NV-S22MC should be done with fine, uniform passes and making sure to cover the entire surface. To achieve a good smoothing it's necessary to apply 3-4 layers with a wait of 30 minutes between them. The treated piece will be dry to the touch at 30 minutes of the last layer and fully ready for use at 24 hours.

It isn't compatible with PE or PP but with the rest of the materials used in 3D printing in general.
