More information Gestionar cookiesZortrax is a Polish company founded in 2013 and focused on the development of professional 3D printing systems. Its main strength is the excellent optimisation and integration between its 3D printers, materials and software. This greatly simplifies the entire printing process, minimising set-up times and reducing the likelihood of failure to a minimum, making them ideal systems for professional environments.
Zortrax offers a wide range of technical materials perfectly optimised for best results in conjunction with its LPD printers, including ABS, ASA, PCABS, Nylon, HIPS and others.
Z-HIPS is a high impact polystyrene filament additivated to provide a semi-matt finish. It is a filament developed for the production of functional prototypes for product validation prior to production.
Its semi-matt finish, together with the excellent surface quality, provides finishes similar to those of mass-produced parts, which reduces post-processing times.
This filament is especially recommended for the production of components with large flat surfaces, architectural models, housings or the production of small series of final components.
Z-HIPS has low shrinkage, which gives it high dimensional stability. It also stands out for its high impact resistance and durability.
Impact strength (KJ/m2) | 5 |
Elongation at break (%) | 8 |
Tensile strength (MPa) | 17 |
Flexural strength (MPa) | 29 |
Flexural modulus (MPa) | 1180 |
Surface hardness | 7 |
The use of the HEPA cover is recommended when printing large parts with Z-HIPS. This filament is not designed as a support material with ABS or ASA, for this purpose it is recommended to use the Z-SUPPORT ATP filament.
