The Adventurer 5M Pro FDM 3D printer is a printer by Flashforge, a renowned manufacturer of quality 3D printing equipment and materials. The Flashforge printers stand out for their smart features and functionality as well as their ease of use. Adventurer 5M Pro is a premium version of the Adventurer 5M printer, with a range of additional features that make Adventurer 5M Pro ideal for household and educational use.

Just like Adventurer 5M, Adventurer 5M Pro has a build volume of 220 x 220 x 220 mm, an extrusion temperature of up to 280 ºC and a maximum build plate temperature of 110 ºC. It is characterized by ease of use, stability, very high printing speed (up to 600 mm/s), and one-click automatic leveling. The printer's sturdy all-metal chassis and high quality core XY structure help Adventurer 5M Pro maintain stability even with accelerations of up to 20000 mm/s².

Unlike Adventurer 5M, Adventurer 5M Pro has a closed chamber, which makes it suitable for the 3D printing of more demanding materials prone to warping, such as ABS and ASA. Apart from these, Adventurer 5M Pro will deliver great results with filaments such as PLA, PETG, TPU, as well as carbon-fiber reinfornced versions of PLA and PETG (nozzle of at least 0.6 mm) and hjigh-speed filament.

Main features

Similarly to Adventurer 5M, Adventurer 5M Pro has a flexible removable PEI steel plate (replaceable) as the printing surface. This type of build surface makes it easy to remove the 3D printed part by slightly bending the build platform. To make the Adventurer 5M Pro more accessible to users, Flashforge has equipped it with an automatic leveling system. The printer's advanced leveling system samples the nozzle height with respect to the build plate and automatically compensates for any differences.

Adventurer 5M Pro is equipped with a direct drive extruder with an upgraded fast-heating high-speed nozzle (quick-release mechanism) with a flow of 32 mm³/s. The fast heating (200 ºC in 35 seconds) boosts the printer's performance with flexible filaments and also allows for high printing speeds (up to 72 % time gains over Adventurer 3 or 4).

Furthermore, thanks to the vibration compensation feature and an enhanced cooling system (fan and dual-channel air structure), Adventurer 5M Pro prints parts with a smooth surface (no ghosting) and impeccable first layers.

Adventurer 5M Pro offers connectivity via USB, WiFi, Ethernet and Cloud. The compatible laminating software is Flashprint, Cura, Prusa Slicer as well as Orca Slicer (settings required). With the native FlashPrint 5 laminating software it is possible to perform multi-device control, manage print classification or monitor the print status remotely. Adventurer 5M Pro has a user-friendly interface displayed on a 4.3" touchscreen.

What makes the Adventurer 5M Pro such an advanced 3D printer are the additional features not included in the Adventurer 5M. Adventurer 5M Pro has been made safer by making it a closed-chamber printer and including a professional dual filtration system to ensure optimal air quality. Adventurer 5M Pro has a HEPA filter as well as an activated carbon filter that together block 99 % of harmful particles and VOCs. Furthermore, Adventurer 5M Pro is quieter than its predecessor since it is possible to enable the silent printing mode for low-speed printing. In this mode, Adventurer 5M pro generates a soft noise comparable to the noise of light rainfall (below 50 dB). Thanks to this, the printer is not a distraction at the time of work or studying but rather a user-friendly aid mindful of the user's needs and lifestyle.
