The Tough Clear resin by Moiin is a high quality open material designed and manufactured in Germany in accordance with industry standards. The Tough Clear resin prints objects characterized by toughness and high impact strength but also flexibility and stretchability at the same time. This makes the Tough Clear ideal for the 3D printing of objects that will be subjected to mechanical stresses (dropping, impact, stretching, flexion) but will maintain dimensional stability. Furthermore, the Tough Clear reisn is biocompatible but the 3D printed objects must be assessed individually to confirm biocompatibility. Parts 3D printed with the Tough Clear resin are characterized by an impressively smooth and translucid surface.

Just like all Moiin resins, the Tough Clear resin uses the trademark Moiin CDB nology to guarantee exceptional precision of the parts 3D printed with the Tough Clear resin, even when the part features inner structures, holes and cavities. The CDB technology (Cure Depth Barrier) minimizes the overcuring in the Z axis (no influence over printing speed) with the help of a chemical component included in the resin. That chemical component is optimized in each Moiin resin to ensure optimal performance in terms of the specific properties.

The Tough Clear resin is ideal for sectors such as design, education and science, industrial manufacturing, and medical technology. The possible applications include product design, functional tools, robust functional prototypes, supports and brackets, lab or research equipment, medical engineering tools, hearing aids, glasses, shoe inserts or orthoses, fluidics or flexible articulations. It is worth mentioning that by varying the structure and thickness of the material, it is possible to print more flexible or firmer parts.
