Evaporating pigment-free scanning spray in liquid format, ideal for a spray gun.

The AESUB Green scanning spray is a product from the portfolio of AESUB, an expert at making the 3D scanning process clean, smooth and effortless. AESUB Green evaporates within around 6 hours and leaves no trace on the scanned object. It is free of pigments, which means it is ideal for sensitive spaces (laboratories, research centers, production lines), as the risk of contamination by pigment accumulation on scanning equipment and other surfaces is eliminated.

3D scanning is a technology with great potential but also with its limitations imposed by the type of scanned object. In many types of 3D scanning, especially in structured light scanning, the surface of the scanned object may make it impossible for the projected light to be interpreted by the 3D scanner, thus making the digitalization of the object impossible. This happens very often with transparent, reflective or specular surfaces, as well as indentations.

The AESUB Green scanning spray is a solution to that problem, as it deposits a thin, homogeneous and no-slip coating on the surface to be scanned - be it a pair of glasses, a mirror, a car door, a plane, a vase, a window, etc. The now mattified surface can then be digitized faithfully, with great precision and attention to the tiniest detail. Another benefit of the AESUB Green scanning spray is that it does not contain titanium dioxide, classified by the European Chemicals Agency as a carcinogen when inhaled.

The AESUB Green scanning spray is compatible with any scanning equipment on the market, be it a desktop 3D scanner with a rotating platform or tripod, or a handheld 3D scanner. It comes in a 1000 ml can with a cap instead of a spray bottle, which makes it a format ideal for being poured into another recipient, for example a spray gun, according the the user’s needs. This comes in handy in large scale scanning projects, as 1000 ml of the AESUB Green scanning spray yield almost triple the coverage (10-15 m2) of the 400 ml AESUB scanning sprays.

The AESUB Green scanning spray is completely scannable for 3 hours and it disappears on its own after about 6 hours, depending on the thickness of the spray coat, the ambient temperature, the air flow, as well as the surface and material of the scanned object. It also allows for the use of markers on top of the spray coat, facilitating the scanning of big objects and eliminating the need for cleaning the markers afterwards.

The AESUB Green scanning spray is yet another brilliant matifying 3D scanning solution that makes the scanning process of transparent or reflective objects faster, more affordable and more effective. The digitization process for a medium size object, such as a car door, takes only up to 15 minutes, including the spraying, the application of markers and the 3D model rendering. The can format of the AESUB Green scanning spray allows the user to complete large scanning projects with the help of a spray gun. It is as simple as AESUB says - spray, scan and done.

When applied with a compressed air spray gun, recommendably from a distance of about 15-20 cm at 21°C (room temperature), the AESUB Green scanning spray can achieve a maximum coating thickness of 10-20 μm. One 1000 ml can of the EASUB Green scanning spray can cover an area of approximately 10-15 m2.

AESUB green looks wet when applied. The solvent takes a few seconds to sublimate and the active ingredient remains on the surface as a whitish coating. If after approximately 1-2 minutes drops are present or if the applied matting remains "wet", it means the spray was applied too slowly or too close to the surface of the scanned object.

AESUB green can be applied with a classic flow or suction cup compressed air spray gun at approximately 3 bar, with a nozzle diameter of minimum 1 mm, or with the AESUB spray gun, which allows stationary use and is particularly suitable for larger objects.

The AESUB Green scanning spray should be stored in a dry place at about 18-21 ºC, out of direct sunlight. For user safety, proper room ventilation and breathing equipment should be used. The AESUB Green scanning spray should never be applied on hot or glowing objects, or come in contact with food. More technical and safety information can be found in the Downloads section.
