    Markforged Onyx Pro is the first 3D printer designed exclusively for printing Onyx combined with continuous glass fibers.

    Onyx is 40% more rigid than ABS with a great surface finish and high chemical and heat resistance. It is therefore an ideal material for industrial applications. In addition, the combination of Onyx with continuous glass fibers, allows to obtain composite pieces that are 10 times more resistant.

    In this way, machined parts made of metal can be replaced by composite pieces reinforced with continuous glass fiber, for a cost up to 20 times lower.

    The pieces obtained in the Onyx Pro 3D printer with the Onyx material can be used as final pieces, with a smooth surface and an elegant black color, without appreciating the layer height effect of the FFF technology standard 3D printers, and they can be reinforced with continuous glass fiber where it is convenient for the functionality of the piece itself.

    Any model Markfoged 3D printer today is synonymous with simple, reliable, repeatable and accurate. The industrial performance begins in a monobloc aluminum housing built around an ultra-flat gantry system.

    In addition, the Markforged Onyx Pro industrial 3D printer can be said to be the only one on the market designed from scratch (hardware, software and materials), to create pieces of carbon fiber in a unique way and with a high performance working at high temperatures (130ºC).

    In addition, the base of the Markforged Onyx Pro 3D printer is placed by clicking on the right place with an accuracy of 10 microns, which allows to pause an impression, remove the bed, add components to the piece, click on the bed and continue printing in the same position.

    The cloud software "Eiger" incorporates a touch interface that makes it easy to connect the 3D printer to the Wi-Fi, start printing and manage the 3D printer.

    All files can be stored and downloaded from the cloud with total security, without the need to download or install any program, in order to obtain an effective and high resistance printing. Due to confidentiality issues, the user may also have a local license to be installed on their computer.

    When even stronger parts are needed (even as strong as aluminum) the Onyx Pro can be upgraded to the Mark Two by adding carbon and kevlar continuous fiber printing capacity to greater than glass.

    The materials that can be used with the Markforged Onyx Pro 3D printer for industrial quality are as follows:

    • Fiberglass: The most economical material, with the strength of carbon fiber, but with 40% stiffness and twice the weight. It is the right material for resistant parts.
    • Onyx: It presents the hardness of nylon and the rigidity of fiber-reinforced plastic, with a matt black finish. Ideal for applications that require high performance.

    The next natural evolution after the Onyx Pro is the Mark Two that can combine up to two continuous fibers and is therefore one of the most powerful in the 3D printing FFF market (Fused Filament Fabrication) / Composite Filament Fabrication (CFF).
