For optimal results with THERMAX HTS2, it is recommended to follow best printing and filament handling practices, ensuring precision, thermal resistance, and professional finishes in every part.

Extruder Temperature

The filament should be printed at a temperature of 365 to 390 °C, ensuring consistent flow and proper layer adhesion for high-performance materials. For certain more specific support materials, a range of 350 to 380 °C may be used depending on the printer and project.

Bed Temperature

The printer bed should be maintained between 140 and 160 °C to ensure good initial adhesion. In advanced applications, the range can be extended to 120 to 160 °C, preventing warping and improving dimensional stability.

Heated Chamber

It is recommended to use a temperature-controlled chamber for large prints or engineering-grade materials. Chamber temperature should not exceed 185 °C, ensuring safety and uniform results in complex parts.

Nozzle and Layer Height

A minimum nozzle diameter of 0.4 mm is suggested, while layer height should be 0.10 mm or higher. No special nozzle specifications or complex adjustments are required, making 3D printer setup easier.

Filament Drying

To maintain quality and avoid bubbles or print failures, it is recommended to dry the filament before use. Suggested conditions are:

  • 65 °C for 4 hours for quick drying.
  • 120 °C for 4 hours for more intensive drying or hygroscopic filaments.

Following these guidelines ensures that THERMAX HTS2 from 3DXTECH reaches its full potential, providing high-temperature resistant supports, precise details, and consistent results, even in complex engineering projects or high-demand functional parts.
