Anycubic, most known for their 3D printing equipment, also specializes in the manufacturing of 3D printing resins. The Standard UV Resin is a high precision UV-curable resin with a UV curing wavelength of 365-410 nm, a bottom exposure time of 20-60 s, and a normal exposure time of 5-15 s. The Standard UV resin was designed for LCD 3D printing, and it is recommended for the Photon series 3D printers. The resin exhibits excellent flowability, with no bubbles formed when the resin is poured. The Standard UV resin also facilitates fast printing and curing, and it is characterized by very low shrinkage.

The Standard UV resin by Anycubic is rigid and tough. The combination of its mechanical properties ensures that the model’s details will not get deformed in any way (too flexible) and the model will not crack (too rigid). Another distinguishing feature of the Standard UV resin is its excellent adhesion to the build platform. This not only guarantees print precision but also facilitates part removal and minimizes the risk of damaging the part by applying too much force. The relatively low viscosity of the resin makes the cleaning and maintenance of the 3D printer, as well as the post processing of the 3D printed part much easier.

Another valuable feature of the Standard UV resin is that it is stable under different climatic conditions and easy to store. This means that challenges often present with other resins on the market (dampness, softening, environmental corrosion) are not a problem with the Standard UV resin by Anycubic.

The Standard UV resin by Anycubic is an affordable high quality LCD resin that will allow the user to produce precise and highly intricate models in an uncomplicated, quick and reliable 3D printing process. The UV resin can be used to print non-functional prototypes, models and figures with an excellent surface finish.

The Anycubic Standard UV resin should be kept out of dust, moisture, and direct sunlight as UV light will solidify this photosensitive resin. Once opened, the resin should be stored in its original packaging at a temperature of 15-35 ºC. Lower temperatures will cause the resin to become more viscous. The shelf life of the Standard UV resin is up to 18 months with proper storage.

The bottle with the Standard UV resin should be well shaken before use. When handling the resin, the user should always wear protective gloves and goggles in order to avoid direct contact with the skin or eyes. The printing space should also be well ventilated or appropriate breathing equipment should be used. Unused resin remaining in the resin vat should not be poured back into the bottle. If it has been in the resin vat for more than 3 days, it should be well stirred and filtered, and then transferred to airtight containers or sealed with plastic wrap and stored in shade (not for too long, as it can cause a post-printing contamination effect).

The parts 3D printed with the Anycubic UV standard resin require post processing in order to achieve their final properties. The parts should first be cleaned in order to remove any uncured resin from the surface of tha part. This can be done in an ultrasonic bath (3 minutes) or by manual submersion in 95+ % IPA alcohol with the help of the Anycubic Wash and Cure machine. After cleaning the parts, the residual cleaning solution should be removed with the help of a blower or air gun. For bigger or complex parts this process may have to be repeated. Next, once the parts are completely dry, they should be cured for 3-5 minutes in the Anycubic Wash and Cure machine.

More advice on working with the Anycubic standard resins can be found in the Downloads section. The recommended settings for the Photon 3D printers can be consulted on the manufacturer’s website.
