IR filament sensor for Prusa MK2.5S/MK3S/MK3S+
The IR filament sensor is a hybrid sensor where an infrared (IR) laser is triggered by a small mechanical lever. This filament sensor is compatible with the Prusa MK2.5S and MK3S/MK3S+ 3D printers.
It is important to note that the color of the sensor’s PCB may vary (red, black, etc.) Nevertheless, it has no influence on the properties of the IR filament sensor.
More detailed instructions on how to plug in the IR filament sensor are available on the Prusa website for both Prusa MK2.5S (step 3) and Prusa MK3S/MK3S+ (step 36) 3D printers.
