Sinterit is a Polish manufacturer renowned for developing the first "desktop" SLS 3D printer: Sinterit Lisa. Since then, Sinterit has introduced different models of desktop SLS 3D printers such as SUZY.

Sinterit 3D printing equipment stands out from the rest due to its versatility and intuitive use. Manifold – Precision, Functionality, and Design Freedom

The Manifold is a 3D-printed sample part from the Sinterit SUZY printer, designed to demonstrate the potential of SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) technology. It acts as a miniature test bench model that showcases precise threads, exact fits, moving parts printed in a single pass, defined details, and smooth curved surfaces, without the need for supports or assembly.

The manifold design includes:

  • Piping connected by an internal cut, a complex geometry that challenges conventional printing methods.
  • Threaded nut with a swivel connection to a chain, demonstrating the precision of the moving parts.
  • Threaded tube end, which allows the nut to be screwed on, verifying the perfect fit and functionality.
  • Movable chain, an element difficult to produce in a single print with other technologies, continuously connecting the nut to the manifold.
  • Engraved inscription on a flat surface, showing the capability to reproduce fine details.
  • Curved flat surface, which evidences the high surface quality achieved by SUZY's SLS technology, with smoother finishes than other printing methods.

Manufactured in Industrial PA12 using the SLS process, the Manifold represents the combination of dimensional precision, mechanical strength, and excellent surface finish, ideal for validating tolerances, testing assemblies, and demonstrating the true capabilities of professional 3D printing.

Gear – Precision and Production Efficiency

The package includes two gears that demonstrate the precision of Sinterit SLS technology and the ability to achieve end-use quality in functional parts. One of the gears is printed on a SUZY with Industrial PA12, while the other features an additional finish through Vapor Smoothing, which improves its surface and sealing.

In a single build performed on SUZY with Industrial PA12 powder, 112 functional gears were produced in a printing time of only 28.5 hours, with a powder cost of €0.98 and a depreciation cost of €0.25 per gear, achieving an optimized total batch cost of €165.87. The result is high-quality gears at approximately €1.48 per part, ready for use and compliant with the most demanding industrial standards.
