The Bedrock 3D PET filament is a high-quality technical material designed to offer the perfect balance between ease of printing, mechanical strength and dimensional stability. This PET filament (polyethylene terephthalate) ensures precise results, clean surfaces and excellent layer adhesion, even at high printing speeds. Its stable behavior and reliability make it an outstanding choice for professional and industrial 3D FDM printing.

High quality and technical performance

The Bedrock 3D PET filament is made from premium-grade polymers under strict diameter and roundness control, ensuring consistent feeding in any 3D printer. Thanks to its wide temperature and extrusion speed range, it is a versatile material compatible with most FDM printers on the market. It prints as easily as PLA but offers much higher strength and durability.

Its molecular structure provides excellent layer adhesion, great dimensional stability and a glossy finish, allowing the production of highly detailed, professional-looking parts. In addition, Bedrock 3D PET filament is 100% recyclable and suitable for food-contact applications, offering a sustainable and safe solution.

Material properties and technical advantages

PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) is a thermoplastic polymer belonging to the polyester family, known for its mechanical, thermal and chemical resistance. It provides high dimensional stability, resistance to oils, fats and common chemicals, and excellent performance against moisture and gases.

Bedrock 3D PET filament acts as an effective barrier against oxygen and carbon dioxide, making it ideal for containers, utensils or food-contact components. Its combination of rigidity, transparency and lightness allows the production of functional prototypes and impact-resistant final parts. It can also be found in both amorphous and semi-crystalline states, expanding its range of applications.

Industrial and functional applications

Bedrock 3D PET filament is widely used in sectors that require high durability, dimensional stability and chemical resistance. It is ideal for functional prototypes, tools, jigs, electronic housings, mechanical components and automotive parts.

In the food industry, it is used in containers, trays and food storage parts thanks to its low moisture absorption and resistance to thermal deformation. In electronics, it stands out for its electrical insulation and thermal resistance. In engineering, it is a sustainable alternative to ABS and PETG, with a better surface finish and less shrinkage.

Support compatibility and high-speed printing

Bedrock 3D PET is compatible with BVOH soluble supports, allowing the creation of complex geometries and parts with overhangs or internal cavities without compromising surface quality. The solubility of the support enables clean and efficient post-processing.

Furthermore, its high thermal stability allows high-speed printing without loss of precision, optimizing production times and improving the profitability of the 3D printing process.

Quality, consistency and sustainability

The production of Bedrock 3D PET filament follows strict quality standards, guaranteeing consistent diameter, excellent flow and uniform color. This level of control results in reproducible prints with no clogging or dimensional variation. Moreover, its recyclable origin and long lifespan make it an environmentally responsible material.

Bedrock 3D PET is available in multiple colors and diameters (1.75 mm and 2.85 mm) and in different spool sizes, adapting to both professional production and small-scale manufacturing.

Conclusion

Bedrock 3D PET filament represents the perfect combination of strength, printability and sustainability. With superior technical performance and compatibility with soluble supports, it is ideal for those seeking a reliable 3D FDM printing material with a professional finish and industrial durability.

For high-quality FDM 3D prints with Bedrock 3D PET filament the following settings are recommended:

  • Nozzle temperature: 210-230 °C
  • Bed temperature: 60-80 °C
  • Bed material: glass or PEI
  • Nozzle diameter: ≥ 0.4 mm
  • Print speed: 40-150 mm/s depending on geometry and detail level

Following these storage and print settings, Bedrock 3D PET filament maintains its mechanical strength dimensional stability and high-quality surface finish ensuring professional results for all functional 3D printed parts.

Bedrock 3D PET filament should be stored in a clean dry environment at 15-25 ºC to maintain its quality and 3D printing properties. It is recommended to keep the spool in its original packaging with a filament desiccant capsule inserted in the center. For extra protection a smart filament container ensures optimal humidity and temperature during long-term storage.

During 3D printing placing the spool in a Fiber Three drying case or filament dryer helps prevent moisture absorption and maintain consistent diameter and smooth filament flow. If Bedrock 3D PET filament absorbs moisture it is recommended to dry it at 60 ºC in a hot air dryer or vacuum oven for 4 to 16 hours to ensure precise 3D prints with professional surface finish.
