Smart temperature control system for Elegoo printers

The Mini Heater from Elegoo features a smart temperature control system that maintains thermal stability within the print chamber, reducing common issues such as warping, part detachment, and poor layer adhesion. Automatic activation below 25 °C and deactivation above that threshold provide a consistent thermal environment, enabling more repeatable and precise results for functional parts and prototypes.

PTC Heating: Speed, Efficiency, and Safety

The PTC technology (positive temperature coefficient) offers fast, self-regulating heating that optimizes energy consumption and minimizes the risk of overheating. Thanks to these properties, the system delivers initial power to reach the target temperature quickly and reduces electrical demand once stabilized, resulting in energy savings and increased operational safety without compromising thermal performance.

Fast and efficient heating, a feature of the Elegoo Mini Heater that reaches 25 °C in seconds with low consumption and maximum safety thanks to PTC technology.

High-Flow Ventilation for Uniform Heat Distribution

A high-speed fan capable of running at 10,000 rpm ensures a constant airflow that prevents hot spots and homogenizes the temperature within the chamber. This uniform heat transfer promotes more consistent material melting and deposition, directly contributing to better surface finish and dimensional consistency in printed parts.

Real-Time Feedback and Reliable Control

Real-time temperature readings allow monitoring and immediate detection of thermal deviations, making it easier to identify issues before they affect the final result. This type of thermal telemetry provides greater peace of mind for long processes or when printing technical materials that require controlled environmental conditions.

Air Filtration for a Cleaner Work Environment

The incorporation of a filtration system removes particles and impurities from the air inside the chamber, improving workspace cleanliness and reducing contaminants that could affect adhesion and part finish. This is especially important in production environments and laboratories where reproducible quality is critical.

The Elegoo Mini Heater also filters air and removes impurities for more precise printing.

Easy Installation and Wide Compatibility

The modular design and adapters allow easy installation from the first use, with connection points designed to integrate into the printer structure. The Mini Heater is optimized for use with multiple Elegoo printer models (Mars 5 Ultra, Mars 5, Mars 4 Max, Mars 4 DLP, Saturn 4, Saturn 4 Ultra, Saturn 3, Saturn 3 Ultra, Saturn 2, Saturn 8K, Saturn S, and Jupiter SE) and can be adapted to other machines using adapter plates and minor mechanical modifications, facilitating integration into mixed printer fleets.

Performance Designed for Demanding Materials

Maintaining a chamber with controlled temperature enables the use of technical materials—such as ABS, nylons, and engineering polymers—that require a stable thermal environment to prevent warping and improve interlayer bonding. A chamber heater optimizes printing capability with these filaments, expanding possible applications and enhancing the mechanical strength of parts.

Conclusion: Stability and Quality in Every Print

The Mini Heater combines smart thermal control, fast PTC heating technology, high-performance ventilation, and air filtration to offer a complete solution that improves print quality, safety, and energy efficiency. It is an ideal choice for workshops, design studios, laboratories, and advanced users who require professional results and higher reliability in additive manufacturing processes.

Placement and Installation

  • Place the Mini Heater in an appropriate location on the printer or in the print enclosure where it can access free air and is not obstructed.
  • Follow the official installation guide: remove the fill plate, fix the support, mount the Mini Heater with the corresponding screws, and ensure the temperature display faces inside the enclosure.
  • Connect the power cable and ensure the correct power source. Once turned on, the device will show the ambient temperature and will automatically activate when it falls below the threshold (~25 °C).

Before Printing

  • If the room or enclosure is cold, allow the Mini Heater to raise the temperature before starting the print so the resin is in optimal condition.
  • Check that the fan is working and that there are no obstructions in the air intake or exhaust.
  • Ensure the indicated temperature is stable and close to the recommended value (e.g., ~25 °C). A cold environment can negatively affect resin viscosity.

During Printing

  • Ensure the Mini Heater remains on if the external temperature drops, to prevent the enclosure from cooling during the print.
  • Avoid opening the lid frequently, as this can cause heat loss and affect thermal stability.
  • Watch for sudden temperature changes that could affect print quality (e.g., layers not adhering well, lifted edges).

Maintenance and Cleaning

  • Replace the air system filters as recommended. It is suggested to replace the filter at least once a month depending on usage.
  • Clean the device externally with a dry cloth; avoid using liquids on the heater body.
  • Periodically check the fan and airflow to ensure there are no obstructions or dust accumulation.

Precautions and Recommendations

  • Do not use the Mini Heater in an enclosure that is not well ventilated or has blocked air outlets, as this may cause overheating.
  • Although the device regulates temperature automatically, avoid placing the printer in an excessively cold environment (e.g., below 15 °C) or with drafts that prevent stable temperature maintenance.
  • If you notice adhesion issues or typical cold resin failures (layers not adhering, very thick resin) during printing, consider using the Mini Heater as part of your workflow to stabilize ambient temperature.
  • Ensure the device is mounted firmly and static. Vibrations or movement may cause noise or affect performance.
