3NTR Nylon+

3NTR-NYLON-PLUS-285-1000

The 3NTR Nylon+ filament by the Italian industrial 3D printer and filament manufacturer 3NTR is a PA filament designed for industrial settings, for the manufacturing of thermally, physically and chemically resistant jigs, tools and poka-yoke designs.

The Nylon+ filament is made of nylon, also known under the acronym PA (polyamide). Nylon is a synthetic polymer very popular in technical 3D printing. It is characterized by great resistance and durability, and is often used for the manufacturing of prototypes as well as functional end use parts. Before nylon was used in its solid form, it was first applied in its original form of highly elastic and resistant fibers in the textile industry.

With its solidification, nylon has gained a lot of popularity across industries for its excellent mechanical properties. Namely, objects 3D printed with PA are capable of supporting loads and cushioning impacts between parts. This is why nylon is commonly found in products such as sleeping bags, fishing lines, car seat belts, guitar strings, dental floss, food products and zips, as well as surgical products and industrial machinery.

The 3NTR Nylon+ filament is the ideal choice for industries that want to move on to additive manufacturing and 3D print versatile, strong and resistant tools and jigs in a faster, more independent and affordable way.

Good printing base adhesion is crucial to the success of a 3D print. Nevertheless, with this filament it is not required to use external adhesion improving products. This is because the 3NTR 3D printers, which this material is designed for, incorporate a carbon fiber base additivized with glass fiber to provide a highly adherent printing surface.
