Bondtech is a manufacturer of extruders, hotends and components for FDM 3D printers, including innovative nozzles for more efficient 3D printing. The CHT nozzle family are nozzles optimized to provide ultrahigh material flow and great part quality. The CHT nozzles come in many versions to ensure compatibility with various 3D printer brands.

These CHT Spider nozzles were designed specially for the Creality Spider hotend (V1). The result of using these nozzles with Creality printers are flow rate gains of about 25-65 %, depending on the chosen 3D printing material and printing settings.

The CHT CSP nozzles are made of brass and coated in nickel. The application of nickel coating serves as a protective measure against corrosion, erosion, and abrasion. Nozzles coated with nickel offer increased resistance to corrosion and a decreased coefficient of friction, enabling a smoother material feeding process and postponing the adhesion of plastic to the surface of the nozzle.

The Bondtech CHT technology

What sets Bondtech CHT nozzles apart from other nozzles on the market is that they incorporate CHT technology, a technology developed and patented by Bondtech that increases the melting area of the material, achieving a much higher melt flow than other nozzles. With this Core Heating Technology, the filament is divided in three ways, allowing it to melt from the inside.

This has the following advantages:

  1. Obtain the same flow as with another nozzle using lower temperatures.
  2. Use nozzles with large outlet diameters and work with thicker layers without flow problems.
  3. Print at higher speeds at the same temperature.

Compatibility and versatility

Designed especially to be used with the Creality Spider hotend (V1), the CHT CSP nozzles come in diameters of 0.4 mm, 0.6 mm, 0.8 mm or 1.0 mm. Although they were optimized for use with 1.75 mm filaments, the CHT CSP nozzles can also be used with 2.85 mm filaments. This makes them one of the most versatile nozzles on the market.

Since the CHT CSP nozzles are compatible with the Creality Spider hotend (V1), they can be used with the following Creality 3D printers: Ender-3, Ender-3 Max, Ender-3 Pro, Ender-3 V2, Ender-5, Ender-5 Plus, Ender-5 Pro, Ender-6, Ender-7, CR-10 series, CR-10S series, and CR-20 series.

The CHT CSP nozzles are compatible with the following 3D printing filaments: PLA, ABS, HIPS, PC, TPU, TPE, Nylon, PETG, ASA, PP and PVA. Nevertheless, for the processing abrasive materials a better option is the Bondtech CHT BiMetal nozzle.

Bondtech CHT nozzles are undoubtedly an innovative product for the users of Creality 3D printers looking to work with very thick layer heights, as well as for those who want to create high quality prototypes in record time.

Bondtech nozzles with CHT® technology are optimised for 1.75 mm filament, ensuring optimum quality with filament of this diameter. However, these nozzles are also compatible with 2.85 mm diameter filament.

In high-flow applications, it is recommended to exceed the filament manufacturer's recommended print temperature to compensate for the additional material input. To find out more about the CHT® technology, Bondtech provides more information on the following link.

When changing the nozzle, follow the manufacturer's recommendations, use the appropriate tools and level the printer base once the new nozzle has been installed.
