The QIDI Box from Qidi Tech is a solution designed to expand the possibilities of multimaterial and multicolor printing, allowing the management of multiple spools and automatic filament changes during printing.

Important: there are different versions of the QIDI Box and they are not compatible with each other. Each model is specifically designed for certain QIDI Tech printers, so it is essential to select the version compatible with the printer model before making the purchase. The QIDI Box intended for one printer cannot be used interchangeably with other models.

The system allows the use of up to four spools simultaneously and, depending on the printer and configuration used, it is possible to connect multiple units to significantly expand the number of available materials. This facilitates printing with different colors, materials, or support filaments in the same project.

In addition to managing multiple filaments, the QIDI Box incorporates a feeding system with double hardened steel gears, suitable for working with technical materials and fibers reinforced filaments. The compartment keeps the filament in a temperature-controlled environment of up to 65 °C, helping to reduce the effects of moisture during storage and printing.

The automatic identification via NFC allows the recognition of certain QIDI filaments and facilitates the configuration of their printing parameters. The system also incorporates functions for detection of tangles, breaks, and low filament levels, allowing for automatic management of the change to another spool when the printer configuration allows it.

The QIDI Box is also particularly useful when working with support materials or soluble filaments, as it allows combining them with the main material during the same print. To enhance safety during operation, it incorporates redundant control sensors and PTC fuses.
