Light 640 laser cutting machine

The Light 640 is an industrial-grade CO2 laser cutting and engraving machine designed by Good Laser for high-precision work across a wide range of materials. It is available in four configurations, offering varying work volumes and laser powers to suit different needs. The Light 640 model features a 60 W laser power with a 600x400 mm working area, making it an ideal option for users with smaller workpieces.

For those requiring larger workspaces, the Light 960 offers 80 W of power with a 900x600 mm area, the Light 1390 provides 100 W and a 1300x900 mm workspace, and the Light 1610 is equipped with a 130 W laser for an expansive 1600x1000 mm work area. All models are powered by a sealed CO2 glass laser tube, ensuring stable and long-lasting performance.

One of the Light 640’s standout features is its open back door design, which allows users to work with materials of virtually unlimited length. This innovative design facilitates the cutting and engraving of longer sheets, such as 600 mm wide by infinite length, providing more flexibility and convenience in the workspace. When this feature is not in use, the machine supports a maximum part size based on its respective model dimensions:

Compatible materials include wood, acrylic, delrin, cloth, leather, mat board, melamine, pressboard, paper, mylar, twill, cork, glass, coated metals, ceramics, marble, rubber, wood veneer, fiberglass, plastic, and Corian. Performance-wise, the Light 640 impresses with its 128 MB buffer memory, enabling smooth and efficient processing of large files. It supports a maximum working speed of 1000 mm/s, ensuring fast and precise cutting and engraving. The repeat positioning accuracy of ≥0.01 mm guarantees consistency in each operation. With a maximum cutting thickness of 20 mm (for acrylic), the Light 640 is capable of handling both intricate designs and thicker materials. The machine also offers a user-adjustable resolution from 100 to 500 DPI, with an optional 1000 DPI available through the HR laser head for higher precision.

The autofocus function is another key feature of the Light 640. It quickly and accurately focuses the laser beam and determines the correct working position before starting the cutting or engraving process. Additionally, the beam position is indicated by a red dot, allowing users to see the exact location of the laser in real-time. This system saves time and ensures optimal results by eliminating guesswork and improving the precision of the work.

The machine’s advanced high-performance closed-loop hybrid servo motor enables shock-proof operation, providing enhanced stability and ultra-fast acceleration. The Light 640 can achieve working speeds up to 1000 mm/s while operating with lower noise and higher stability. The motor’s closed-loop design contributes to the machine’s longevity, reducing wear and tear. Speed and power are fully adjustable from 0% to 100%, and users can set speed and power preferences through vector color mapping using RGB color settings.

The Light 640 is equipped with a 3.5-inch LCD display panel that shows critical information, such as the current file, total working time, laser power, and speed. The user-friendly interface enhances the overall experience by providing real-time insights into the machine’s operation. The machine is compatible with Windows XP/2000/Vista/7/8/10 and macOS, offering flexible connectivity options via Ethernet and USB.

For design and file management, the Light 640 uses the official LightMaker operating system, compatible with various design software, including Adobe Illustrator (AI), Photoshop (PS), CorelDRAW, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks. The system supports high-quality file formats, such as JPG, DXF, AI, DST, PNG, BMP, TIF, and SVG, making it easy for users to import and work with their designs. Additionally, the LightMaker mobile app is available for mobile devices, enabling users to manage their laser cutting and engraving tasks remotely.
