Snapmaker 2.0 - 3 in 1 is a multifunctional modular device that includes three modules that turn it into:
- FDM 3D printer.
- CNC machining machine.
- Laser engraving and cutting machine.
The CNC machining module turns the Snapmaker 2.0 3-in-1 into a powerful machining machine with which the user can carve or cut hardwood, PCB, acrylic, POM, carbon fibre sheet and many other materials.
Snapmaker provides some of the most commonly used materials for CNC machining in convenient ready-to-use formats. Among these materials is POM sheet.
Polyoxymethylene (POM), also known as acetal, polyacetal and polyformaldehyde, is an engineering thermoplastic used in precision parts that require high stiffness, low friction and excellent dimensional stability.
One of the most popular properties of POM is its ease of machining. By CNC machining POM sheets, parts or reliefs can be made with professional finishes, high hardness and abrasion resistance.
Due to its characteristics, POM is a material widely used in the electronics, mechanical and automotive industries, among others. Its typical applications include the manufacture of high-performance engineering components such as gear wheels, ball bearings, etc.
POM sheets are supplied in packs of 3 and are available in one size only and are compatible with Snapmaker 2.0 A150, A250 and A350.
