LAY-FELT is an advanced filament from the PORO-LAY series, created by LAY Filaments and developed from a rubber-like elastomeric polymer combined with a water-soluble component, specially designed to produce porous and flexible 3D objects. This filament allows you to create parts that are initially rigid and durable, but after rinsing in water, transform into micro-porous and elastic objects. Thanks to these properties, it is ideal for manufacturing 3D filters, 3D membranes, semi-permeable membranes, and any design requiring flexibility and a felt-like texture.

The LAY-FELT filament provides precise, warp-free 3D prints with minimal shrinkage and no need for a heated bed, allowing the production of complex parts even on desktop printers. Its micro-dimensional porous structure enables the absorption and filtration of liquids such as water, emulsions, saline solutions, inks, or ionic liquids. In addition, printed objects can be heat-sealed after drying, increasing versatility for experimental or industrial projects.

LAY-FELT is part of the innovative PORO-LAY series, which includes filaments such as LAY-FOMM 60, LAY-FOMM 40 and GEL-LAY, designed for users seeking to experiment with advanced 3D printing and achieve unique results. This filament combines 3D printing precision with exclusive physical properties, enabling the creation of flexible, felt-like fabrics and functional membranes for engineering, filtration, and industrial design projects.

Printing properties
Printing temperature	225 - 235 ºC

It is recommended to print LAY-FELT between 225° and 235°C, adjusting the temperature according to the printer to achieve optimal results. Optimizing the design by reducing the number of walls and infill percentage speeds up the rinsing time and ensures maximum final flexibility of the object. Each package contains 0.25 kg of high-quality filament, coiled and sealed in a transparent bag, ready to produce durable and micro-porous parts.
