The spacious interior of the Sunlu SP2 3D filament dryer accommodates spools from 0.25 kg to 3 kg, including cardboard spools and damaged spools that can be securely fixed using the adjustable roller. The box supports up to two 1 kg spools, one 2 kg spool, or one 3 kg spool, with a maximum diameter of 250 mm and width up to 153 mm.

  1. Place the spool correctly in the compartment before starting the drying process to ensure uniform airflow and avoid uneven tension on the filament.
  2. Set the appropriate temperature (35 °C‑70 °C depending on filament type) to remove moisture without deforming the spool or material.
  3. Keep the lid closed during drying to prevent heat loss and internal condensation; open only at the end of the cycle if necessary.
  4. Adjust the drying time according to the filament’s moisture level and material type — for example, more hygroscopic filaments may require longer times.
  5. Separate the storage box from the heating module once drying is complete; seal the box and insert silicone plugs in the filament openings to maintain low humidity.
  6. Do not block air inlets and outlets during operation to prevent abnormal heat buildup or system overload.
  7. Observe electrical safety: do not use the device near water, keep it out of reach of children, and use only certified power cables.
