The PrintDry pack of 5 vacuum-sealed airtight containers has been specially designed to protect 3D printing filaments from humidity, dust, and environmental changes. Made from high-strength PC material, each unit can hold spools of up to 1 kg (or larger models in some cases), with dimensions of Ø 265 mm x 115 mm that fit standard Ø 205 mm x 85 mm spools. Their transparent design allows for quick identification of filament types without opening the containers, helping users keep their workspace organized.

Unlike the container pack with manual pump, this set includes a USB‑C rechargeable electric pump with a 1,200 mAh battery, capable of generating a vacuum level of -30 kPa in just 40 seconds, ensuring fast and effortless sealing. Each lid features a valve with a visual indicator that shows a successful vacuum by the depression of its center, resulting in a controlled-humidity internal environment for longer periods. The negative pressure remains stable, reducing the frequency of resealing and providing peace of mind for both domestic and professional use.

Operation is very simple: just place the pump over the valve and activate it, as shown in the following video.

The process ends when the center of the valve sinks, indicating that vacuum has been achieved.

Studies conducted by PrintDry confirm that a 750g filament spool properly stored in this type of container, along with five 15g desiccant bags, ensures more than 30 days without any increase in humidity.

In addition to these containers, PrintDry also offers a filament dryer, which reduces moisture in any type of filament to very low levels (10%) and allows filaments to be used directly from inside the dryer. Using a filament dryer and vacuum-sealed airtight filament containers is highly recommended for users working with moisture-sensitive materials, such as nylons and some advanced materials.

Once the filament has been dried, an alternative option is to use either vacuum-sealed filament storage bags, or to store the spools in the smart filament container. This container maintains optimal conditions autonomously and even activates the vacuum pump automatically if its sensor detects a leak or drop in internal preservation levels.

This PrintDry system offers a complete and reliable solution: from optimal filament preservation—retaining its mechanical properties until printing—to a stackable and modular format that maximizes space usage. By combining robust and reusable containers, an automatic pump, and desiccant compatibility, an optimal storage strategy is achieved. This pack is an investment in quality and efficiency, preventing common issues such as increased humidity, extrusion clogs, or surface defects in printed parts.
