The Bondtech DDG V2 extruder is an advanced solution tailored for Ultimaker 3D printers utilizing 2.85 mm filament. Compatible with a range of Ultimaker models (U2+, U3, US3, US5, US7), as well as Ultimaker's Material Station, the DDG V2 extruder can operate with or without the UM filament sensor inside.

This upgraded extruder seamlessly integrates into the existing setup as a drop-in replacement, offering a hassle-free plug-and-play experience. With its reversible design and no firmware updates required, installation is a breeze and takes no more than 20 minutes (see Usage Tips section and Downlods section for installation guides).

Engineered with Bondtech's renowned Dual Drive Gear technology, the DDG V2 extruder ensures slip-free material feeding, delivering high-performance results consistently. Filament pre-tension can be fine-tuned with the adjustable tension mechanism, accommodating various filament types effortlessly.

This extruder's versatile features also include space for housing the UM filament sensor internally, a symmetrical design for easy reversibility (standard to mirror and vice versa), as well as hardened steel drive gears with nickel coating, which enables the extruder to confidently handle both standard and abrasive materials, ensuring durability and longevity.

With the DDG V2, recycling the original stepper motor of the printer simplifies installation, as the extruder mounts in the same position and holes as the factory extruder, requiring less than 10 minutes for setup. While no additional hardware changes are necessary for the S3, S5, and S7 models, the 2+ and 3 model users will require the UM DDG Converter Cable to reverse the feeding direction, depending on the Ultimaker model being upgraded.
