The Ceramic White resin from the Phrozen portfolio of functional materials is a white composite resin designed for LCD 3D printers in collaboration with BASF Forward AM, and created with industrial prototyping and modeling in mind. The Ceramic White resin contains over 50 % of ceramic content, which gives the 3D printed parts a smooth, matte ceramic-like surface.
Like all Phrozen resins, the Ceramic White resin is a low-odor and low-viscosity resin (just 120 mPas despite the ceramic content) that offers a smooth and efficient 3D printing experience. The parts 3D printed with the Ceramic White resin perform very well under stress while maintaining high precision thanks to the exceptionally high stiffness (5800 MPa) and strong wear resistance offered by the Ceramic White resin.
Although post-thermal treatment is not required to achieve a ceramic look and feel, subjecting parts 3D printed with the Ceramic White resin to extra post-thermal treatment (80°C for 24 hours) will result in improved heat-resistant performance. Apart from durability, precision and great mechanical properties, parts 3D printed with the Ceramic White resin are characterized by low water absorption.
Ceramic White Resin is designed to fulfill the users' needs for highly accurate prototypes and exquisite models. Be it for specialized industrial applications, artisanal crafts or medical modeling, the Ceramic White resin by Phrozen and BASF is the perfect material.

The printing profiles for the Phrozen 3D printing resins can be found on the Phrozen website.
Once opened, Phrozen Ceramic White resin must be stored properly to prevent degradation of the resin. To achieve the desired properties, parts 3D printed with Ceramic White resin must be post-processed. The parts must first be washed in IPA alcohol (best by spraying) or any other authorized resin cleaning liquid, then dried for 30 minutes, and then post-cured under UV light (120 minutes). Washing and curing can be done with the help of devices such as the Phrozen Cure & Wash Kit or the Cure XL or Cure Mega curing devices.
More information on the maintenance of Phrozen resins and post-processing of 3D printed parts can be found in the Manual in the Downloads section.
It is of utmost importance that adequate personal protective equipment be used while handling resin.
