In recent years, a multitude of specific materials have been developed for the medical and dental sector, with a wide variety of dental resins appearing on the market with specific properties depending on the application for which they were designed. Currently we can find resins optimised to cover some of the most demanding applications in this sector, such as 3D printing of models, surgical guides or dental prostheses, among others.

In order to meet the most demanding needs of the dental sector, the prestigious multinational chemical company BASF has developed a line of light-curable resins known as Ultracur3D DM, compatible with the main resin 3D printing technologies using wavelengths of 385 nm or 405 nm.

This new line of resins is the result of extensive research and testing. As a result, Ultracur3D DM resins are advanced reactive urethane photopolymers, designed specifically for key dental applications such as models, moulds and gingival masks.

The Ultracur3D DM resin line has two products:

  • Ultracur3D DM 2505
  • Ultracur3D DM 2304

Ultracur3D DM dental resins are highly resistant and allow for detailed, high-precision 3D impressions.

Ultracur3D DM 2304 is a flexible pink resin developed specifically for 3D printing applications such as non-medical gingival masks and other dental applications. Ultracur3D DM 2304 resin aims to accurately reproduce the gingival area, both in colour and texture (flexibility and softness).

BASF Ultracur3D resins are highly sensitive to light and should therefore always be stored in closed containers away from light.

Before starting an impression, the resin should be shaken well and, if possible, placed under vacuum to remove any bubbles that may have formed.

Customers who have purchased any resin from the BASF Ultracur3D range can request a user guide. To do so, please use the contact form with the subject "Technical Support" and the order number of the order in which the resin was purchased.
