Sheets of MDF wood for Snapmaker 2.0

Snapmaker 2.0 - 3 in 1 is a multifunctional modular device that includes three modules that turn it into:

• FDM 3D printer.
• CNC machining machine.
• Laser engraving and cutting machine.

Snapmaker 2.0's laser engraving and cutting module enables laser engraving and cutting of a multitude of materials, including paper, plywood, leather, acrylic, cardboard, paper, fabric and even foodstuffs such as biscuits and coconuts.

The CNC machining module, on the other hand, turns the Snapmaker 2.0 3-in-1 into a powerful machining machine with which the user can carve or cut hardwood, PCB, acrylic, POM, carbon fibre sheet and many other materials.

Snapmaker provides some of the most commonly used materials for laser engraving as well as CNC machining in practical ready-to-use formats. Among these materials is MDF wood board, which is compatible with both manufacturing methods due to its properties.

MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) is a product composed of wood fibres combined with wax and a resin binder, ultimately forming sheets through the application of pressure and high temperatures.

MDF is denser than plywood, but can be used as a building material like plywood.

MDF is an ideal material for CNC cutting, but it is also suitable for laser engraving. This material can be used in the manufacture of models or assembled structures in the same way as basswood sheet, although, due to its properties, this material is much more resistant.
