Mini Maker Faire Compostela 2015

Last Saturday, October 17, the Mini Maker Faire was held in Santiago de Compostela for the first time. In it we met more than 70 makers from all over Galicia to showcase the latest creations in robotics, science, mechanics, 3D printing, drones, laser cutting or the latest innovations in gastronomy and crafts, among other areas.

Since the early morning, the entire Filament2print team has made an effort to prepare the stand with a significant sample of the main 3D printing products. Throughout the day he was approached by numerous people, many unaware of what 3D printing consists of, and others already expert users who showed amazement at the breakthrough of 3D printing at the user level in recent years.

In our stand we could see the operation of two 3D Sharebot printers (Kiwi 3D and Next Generation), a multitude of accessories and a wide range of filaments; from the PLA and ABS, through the nylon filaments of Taulman, the Poro-Lay family, the Proto-Pasta filaments to our new graphene filament.

Along the day we offered technical advice to a multitude of 3D printing users, each one with their particular needs. The filaments that have attracted the most interest have been the new graphene filament, which we started selling exclusively to Europe last week, and the filaments of the Poro-Lay family for their particular properties of micro-porosity when they come into contact with the water.

The whole team  has  been very satisfied with our participation in the event, which has managed to attract more than 16000 people, according to official sources. All a success, that would not have been possible without the enormous effort of the organizers and collaborators.
