Pelletsmart Coffee, developed by Smart Materials, is positioned as a high-value eco-friendly material within the professional LFAM 3D printing sector. This innovative biocomposite combines technical performance, natural aesthetics and sustainability, meeting the growing demand for eco-friendly materials for 3D printing aimed at high visual impact projects with environmental commitment. Its formulation is designed to maximize conversion in professional additive manufacturing environments.

PLA biocomposite with reused coffee waste

Pelletsmart Coffee incorporates 18% coffee waste integrated into a high-quality PLA matrix, resulting in a biocomposite material optimized for pellet-based 3D printing. This composition transforms by-products from the coffee industry into a functional resource, reducing industrial waste and promoting the circular economy applied to 3D printing. The result is a sustainable material that maintains an excellent balance between ecology, stability and technical performance.

Granulated texture, speckled finish and natural coffee aroma

One of the main differentiating factors of Pelletsmart Coffee is its speckled finish and granulated texture, characteristics derived directly from the coffee particles present in the material. During the 3D printing process, the material releases an intense roasted coffee aroma, providing a unique sensory experience that enhances its added value compared to conventional PLA filaments. This makes it a highly sought-after option for product design, decorative parts, creative prototyping and applications with organic identity.

High-performance eco-friendly material for professional 3D printing

Thanks to its biocomposite PLA base, Pelletsmart Coffee by Smartfill offers reliable 3D printing performance, with good layer adhesion, dimensional stability and a distinctive final finish. Its formulation is aimed at professional environments that require sustainable materials for 3D printing without sacrificing quality, consistency or aesthetics.

Strategic solution for sustainable-focused 3D printing projects

Pelletsmart Coffee is established as a key choice within the market for eco-friendly pellets for 3D printing, aligning with trends in sustainability, conscious design and innovation in additive manufacturing. Its biocomposite nature, aesthetic value and environmental proposition make it a highly competitive material for companies, manufacturers and brands seeking eco-friendly PLA materials, product differentiation and maximum conversion in advanced 3D printing projects.

To achieve optimal results with Smartfil Eco Coffee by Smart Materials, it is recommended to work with a printing temperature between 205 °C and 220 °C. This range allows proper fusion of the biobased PLA with the recycled coffee particles, ensuring smooth extrusion, strong layer adhesion, and a uniform surface finish.

The ideal printing speed ranges between 25 and 50 mm/s. Moderate speeds improve detail definition and help prevent potential irregularities derived from the biocomposite nature of the material, especially in decorative parts or complex geometries.

To ensure proper adhesion to the build plate, it is recommended to use a bed temperature between 40 °C and 60 °C. This range helps minimize the risk of warping and contributes to a stable first layer, particularly in larger prints.

The use of a closed chamber is not required, as Smartfil Eco Coffee performs stably in open-frame 3D printers, maintaining excellent dimensional quality and reducing internal stresses during cooling.

Using the part cooling fan at 100% is recommended to enhance detail definition and achieve a consistent matte finish. Proper cooling highlights the natural texture of the filament and optimizes the final quality of the printed part.

Before using the product, it is recommended to consult the technical data sheet, available in the Attachments tab.
