The original Bambu Lab adhesive stick has been specifically developed to optimize first-layer adhesion on the print plates of Bambu Lab printers. Its formulation is designed to provide a precise balance between holding the print during operation and easy removal of the part once printing is complete.

It acts as an intermediate layer applied as a thin film over the print surface. Its main function is to enhance initial filament adhesion, especially with materials prone to high shrinkage or warping. At the same time, it serves as a key release agent, facilitating part removal once the plate cools without excessive effort or risk of surface damage. Regarding compatibility, it can be used with Bambu Lab original print plates, both smooth and textured PEI surfaces, as well as flexible steel plates. It is designed for Bambu Lab printers with removable magnetic bed systems, integrating seamlessly without additional adaptations.

The adhesive stick is especially recommended for technical or adhesion-sensitive materials such as ABS, ASA, PC, PA (Nylon), fiber-reinforced filaments, and other high-shrinkage polymers. It can also be used with PLA or PETG when extra adhesion or more precise control over part release is required, for example, with large geometries or extensive contact surfaces. Its main advantages include significantly improved first-layer stability, reduced risk of warping at corners and edges, protection of the plate from marks or premature wear, and easy removal of complex or large parts without harsh tools.

For proper application and maintenance, it is recommended to spread a thin, even layer over the print area with a clean, cold plate. After several prints, adhesive residues can be easily removed with warm water, leaving the surface ready for reapplication without affecting the coating. In professional or production environments, using the adhesive stick standardizes adhesion between prints, reduces first-layer failures, and extends the lifespan of the print plates. This is particularly valuable when continuously working with technical or demanding materials, where process consistency is critical.
