Revopoint 3D Scan Spray
The AB-6 and AB-P 3D Scanning Sprays from Revopoint are designed to facilitate the capture of transparent, reflective, or dark surfaces that are usually problematic for optical scanners. Both products allow obtaining accurate 3D models thanks to their ability to create a thin layer that diffuses reflections, providing higher contrast without damaging the object being scanned. The spray will either evaporate or can be cleaned depending on the version, so no permanent residue is left.
To apply either spray, maintain a distance of 10–20 cm from the object, press the nozzle gently, and move the aerosol in even strokes over the surface. It is recommended to cover the entire area to be scanned for uniform coverage. Once applied, scanning can begin immediately.
For AB-6, no post-cleaning is necessary as the layer disappears on its own. With AB-P, the surface should be cleaned after scanning to restore the object’s original finish.
These sprays are compatible with a wide range of optical 3D scanners and structured light scanning systems. They can be applied to both porous and non-porous surfaces: glass, metal, plastics, stone, wood, 2K paint, and more.
As a safety precaution, these sprays are typically flammable and should be used in ventilated areas, away from ignition sources. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and avoid prolonged skin contact.
In conclusion, the AB-6 and AB-P sprays provide versatile solutions for scanning challenging objects, allowing you to choose between a self-eliminating layer or a longer-lasting one depending on the project. Selecting the right variant significantly improves the quality, speed, and cleanliness of 3D scanning.
